Description

The first news dates back to the 12th century, with written testimonies from the year 1140 reporting the presence of the Inn as a stopping point. In 1820 the inn ceased its original role when it was purchased by Nicola Gerbore who transformed it into a farm. The complex, which underwent various transformations over time, still retains a cast iron slab, currently visible above the fireplace in the restaurant room which reproduces the 18th century heraldic shield of the Archdeacon of Aosta René Ribitel. THE KITCHEN - Contemporary cuisine meets tradition local Aosta Valley, for an opening union new ways of experimentation. We are grateful to be able to tell you a story made of food and wine, tradition, research and interpretation. LA CANTINA How do we choose a wine? The notoriety of the name, the niche product, the favorite grape variety, the enological historicity of a region, the memory of aromas and flavours, the memory of an instant. This is a universe and we don't have a definitive answer. We like to imagine our cellar as a starting point for our wine research, to discover new passionate producers, unforgettable flavours, heady bouquets and new emotions. From this awareness, the concept of our paper was born, which is always on the move looking for new labels to offer to our customers. We are firmly convinced that the pleasure of drinking a great wine is above all the sharing of the moment and the product, which is why we always try to offer wines without any type of speculation [...]

super comfortable bedding

A really very friendly welcome, super comfortable bedding (so comfortable that we slept 3 hours more than expected) and a breakfast buffet that looked delicious, unfortunately we were in a hurry and couldn't take advantage of it . I recommend the place and I will come back with pleasure.

excellent restaurant

Excellent for those arriving in Italy or going to France via the Great Saint Bernard pass. Garage for those traveling by motorbike. Excellent restaurant, expensive but it was worth it. Large cellar!

everything we ate was of high quality

If you spend the night here, also eat in the restaurant. I fell in love with the coffee flavored risotto and foie gras! But everything we ate was of high quality. Wine list of > 80 pages so plenty of choice.
