Description

Elegant grandeur and an artistic attitude has made us Milan’s most beloved rendezvous, come to stay and we’ll make The Grand Hotel et de Milan your favourite. OUR FASCINATING HISTORY More than 150 years at Milan’s most fashionable address Step through our historic doors and you are enveloped in the grandeur of our hotel. Look up the wrought iron staircase spiralling through five floors and imagine a bejewelled Maria Callas making her sweeping entrance. Walk through to our marbled lounge and picture Giuseppe Verdi pausing before a sell-out performance at La Scala. Enjoy a frisson in the ‘recording suite’ where the Great Caruso became the world’s first superstar. RESTAURANT Don Carlos, Gerry's Bar, Caruso Nuovo Bistrot Restaurant with its Veranda and open air Dehors, where tradition and innovation come together to satisfy the most demanding tastes. Caruso Nuovo Bistrot opens its doors, following a restyling of both the interiors, by Dimorestudio, and the gourmet menu, by Chef Gennaro Esposito. The Bertazzoni family has chosen to bring an elegant, convivial new look to the bistrot, shaping an image in which classic engages with contemporary, in keeping with the gourmet creations brought to guests by Executive Chef Francesco Potenza, also from the Campania region, and boasting a career developed in some of the finest restaurants in Italy. Our gourmet restaurant is full of atmosphere that is romantic by candlelight and always elegant. The name Don Carlos is a tribute to the great Maestro Verdi, who made the ‘Milan’ his home for 27 years. Walls are filled with portraits, sketches and scenes from La Scala’s museum, the soundtrack is a collection of operatic arias. At Gerry’s Bar we’ve always nurtured an atmosphere of relaxed elegance. Somewhere Visconti, Richard Burton and our Milanese neighbours have always [...]

a fantastic stay

A fantastic stay here for 4 Nights at the Grand Hotel et de Milan. All staff from the front desk to the restaurant crew were friendly and welcoming. The room was great and extremely clean and comes with an extensive pillow menu. Turndown service by housekeeping every evening was a special gesture. The attention to detail such as having drinking water by the bedside, bedroom slippers, towel warmer etc was much appreciated. [...]

by far the most welcoming and enjoyable

I experienced four luxury hotels this past week while traveling in the Lake Como region as a single 70 year old traveler. The Grand Hoel Milan was by far the most welcoming and enjoyable. I was particularly impressed by the fact that its rooms although part of a grand historic hotel are designed for 2024 and not 1924 or 1824 as a number of other hotels I went to were. The staff is outstanding.

above exceptional

I am trying to find a fault in this hotel. From the moment we arrived, it has been above exceptional. It is so clean, so beautiful, the service is out of this world. The location is amazing. Even hand-wash in the room is provided (all hotels usually provide only bar soap). I think the hotel is perfect, only negative I would say is there needs to be more light in the room, but I love bright lights! Special thanks to Muhammed at the front desk! Best 4 nights in milan ever!
