ION City Hotel

Virginia made our stay amazing , offering great customer service , recommending multiple locations within the city for us to celebrate and answering all of of our questions about the hotel / the city . The room itself was nice and clean with a wonderful view of the street below. The bar across the street did play music late but with the window closed it was nothing I noticed and just something I would expect during a Saturday night in a city.

This hotel was amazing. Location is great, rooms are clean and have everything you need, and the staff is incredible. We landed early during an orange weather alert and couldn't get to Ion adventure where we had a reservation. The folks at Ion City hotel let us come there instead and took amazing care of us. We liked it so much we stayed on our way out of town, too! And our friends did the suite which was AMAZING - had incredible views and a sauna in room!

Amazing little hotel in the city center of Reykjavik. Receptionists always with a smile and a friendly greeting on their lips made us feel welcome. We had a Junior Suite with a private Sauna on our balcony, a very lovely experience & luxury at the end of our Iceland journey. The Suite is big & comfortable, nothing to complain. We had a little struggle with the light switches, but this can be figured out quick and easy. For this standard the price is absolutely okay.

We enjoyed our one-night stay in the junior suite (about $385), which has a view of the city from the balcony and a private sauna. Comfortable bed and relatively quiet on a Monday night. The most significant downside is that the hotel does not have parking so you need to park on the street or parking garage. The woman at the check-in desk gave us the run around for parking as she only mentioned one particular parking garage as an option, which we couldn't find. We wasted well over 30 minutes fee

Awesome hotel and location. Loved our sauna! The shower is amazing too. Restaurant next door Sumac was a great recommendation from the front desk.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was spacious and clean. Note if your room faces the street, as ours did you can hear people talking in the street as they walk by. For us this stopped about midnight on a Monday night. Great location otherwise. Ps street is fully illuminated all night
