Every time we visited in the run up to the big day we had a positive experience. The atmosphere created in the barn is fantastic. We also got to pull our own pints of Guinness and have a bit of craic with the locals at the bar. We will be back for many more years to come, for many more special meals to come!Starting off with planning our day it was totally stress free, no request was too big & they really added such a personal feel to our day. Triona and the team from the get go were just amazing to deal with and correspondence was so quick via emails. There is not one thing I could fault or comment on. I could not recommend Vaughan's. It was exactly what we were looking for - cozy, intimate and romantic with that hint of old Irish charm through in.We celebrated our wedding in Vaughan's last month and it was the most amazing day ever! The ceremony was held outside in the private garden, it had a fantastic spot for the reception food & drinks. We all sat in the barn for dinner which perfectly seated all of us comfortably. It was decorated to perfection & the staff were more than accommodating. We danced the night away in the barn which had plenty of space for the guests that joined for the afters. It really was a fantastic locationWe attended a really special wedding in Vaughan's setting & it was nothing short of spectacular. Vaughan’s staff were exceptional, and answered our (many!) questions during our planning. They were very professional and sound! Food was fab. What is the capacity of the Wedding Barn?
The maximum seated capacity in the Barn is 120 guests.
Are you licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies?
Yes, we can host both civil ceremonies and wedding receptions onsite. The Barn acts as both a rustic indoor ceremony space and a reception room.
What is the maximum guest capacity, and is there a minimum requirement?
Our maximum capacity is 120 guests. We require a minimum of 30 guests for weddings taking place Monday to Thursday and a minimum of 50 guests for weekends and bank holidays. For celebrations below these minimum numbers, a venue hire fee will apply.
Is there accommodation onsite?
Yes, Vaughan's Guesthouse has 9 ensuite bedrooms with self-catering kitchen and lounge access for close family of the wedding party. The wedding couple can allocate rooms to guests as desired.
How do I secure my wedding date?
To secure a date, you must pay a wedding deposit of €1000 and complete your wedding contract.
Can we do a menu tasting before finalising the menu?
All booked and confirmed weddings include pre-wedding menu tasting as part of your contract.
Can we bring external vendors?
Yes, you can hire external suppliers, and we can provide a recommended list of local coordinators, celebrants, florists, and musicians.
Are there any hidden costs?
There are no hidden costs associated with our wedding packages. Should you wish to personalise your day further, packages can be customised to suit your individual requirements, with additional charges applying for any upgrades or bespoke additions.
Do you cater for intimate weddings?
Yes, all of our wedding packages can be customised to suit an intimate wedding.
Do you have availability on our date?
The best way to check availability is to get in touch with our wedding team directly. We’d also be delighted to arrange a showaround so you can see the venue in person, or if you are planning your wedding from overseas, we would be delighted to hold an online meeting with you.
