We have been supplying Tankardstown House with wedding flowers for over 10 years now and have watched them grow from a small boutique wedding venue to one of the best wedding venues in Ireland. What makes them special for us as just a supplier (and not a guest) is the way we are treated by all the staff, always friendly, happy and helpful. This is not common in most venues. If a venue treats their suppliers with this kindness, imagine how they treat their clients and guests!

In my nearly 2 decades of photographing weddings, Tankardstown House has always been top of my list of venues. Couples choose Tankardstown House for it's exclusivity, accommodating and attentive staff, exceptional food, relaxed atmosphere, and beautiful backdrops. As a photographer it comes in top for its picture perfect gardens and natural light drenched ballroom. The glass ceiling makes this venue so unique and a photographer's dream! We work regularly at Tankardstown House. It is one of the best and most beautiful venues in Ireland .It has so much to offer with a great location, superb staff, luxurious accommodation and delicious food. The team of wedding coordinators, Sarah, Aine, Emily, Gemma, Gillian and Ruth are all a pleasure to work with, they are very professional and their attention to detail means you can relax and enjoy every minute of your day. From the moment we stepped inside Tankardstown House, we knew that this was the venue for us. The house is so well kept, the grounds are magnificent, the rooms are stunning and overall we just got a great feel for the place from day 1. Aine was the most incredible coordinator and nothing was ever an issue. She was so accommodating and totally put us at ease the entire way through the process and also on the day. She was only ever a phone call or an email away and on the day, she made us feel so special and took great care with all of the details. She was just a dream to work with. Sarah-Jane assisted with the rooms and her communication was exceptional, keeping us updated at every step of the way. On the day, Fran was outstanding. He ran such a tight ship and made sure that the level of service we received was top class. He greet our parents on first-name terms for breakfast the next morning which was such a nice touch and made it such a personal experience. The food was incredible and we have received countless compliments from our guests on the quality of food served on the day. Tankardstown are experts in the business and we wish we could do it all over again. Hoping to get an invite as guests to a wedding at Tankardstown soon :)

From start to finish, Tankardstown House completely exceeded our expectations. The level of service we received from the moment we were introduced to our wedding coordinator Ainé we just knew this was our wedding venue. Me and my husband live in England, but you would have never had know we were further away because we were always in communication with Ainé she went above and beyond for us, making sure all our questions were answered and we had everything we needed every step of the way. The food tasting was such a great experience and they make you feel so special, definitely go hungry though as there’s plenty of food to try to make sure you’ve chosen your dream wedding dinner! The day itself was faultless again from start to finish, along with Ainé, Fran the bar manager made sure all of our drinks were topped up, and looked after us so well, we felt like celebrities, our friends and family still ask about him now. It couldn’t have been smoother if we tried, we didn’t want the day/night to end. If we could give Tankardstown a million stars we would, you will not be disappointed, it will make you want to get married there again and again. We can’t thank you enough for giving us our fairytale wedding, if you need a sign to book this venue, this is it!!!

We had our wedding here back in October ‘24 and I honestly cannot give enough praise to all the staff from my initial contacts right through to the staff serving us all weekend. Tankardstown is a stunning venue that really goes above and beyond for guests - sorting rooms last minute, giving on the day menu changes when requested by guests (didn’t even realise this till 2 weeks after!) and just being so supportive throughout the planning process. Special mention to Aine & Sarah Jane our wedding & accommodation coordinators as well as Fran & Frank on the day who were so attentive to all of our guests needs, not just the top table. Our families & friends still mention the incredible service & enjoyment they had over the course of the weekend - the food was impeccable throughout, stunning house & bedrooms, beautiful gardens and ample parking. I have seen many friends booking weddings since our day and I’ve also realised the amazing value offered by Tankardstown - it’s definitely a more expensive venue vs standard hotel but there are no hidden extras as seen in other venues (eg: “upgraded table linens”, extra charges for basic canapés, charge for cake cutting or varied drinks options). There are naturally charges should you choose different wine packages etc but these are minimal I found. I really cannot recommend Tankardstown enough and I wish them continued success in their business.

I have never been more enthusiastic to provide a review. I visited 14 venues in the early days of planning our wedding and Tankardstown House stood out to us like no other. Beautiful, luxurious and hidden in the countryside of County Meath. The staff are warm, friendly and genuine. There is not an ounce of pretentiousness in such a grandeur establishment. Our wedding coordinator Sarah and our accommodation manager Sarah Jane in particular, were absolutely fabulous in the run-up to the big weekend. Responsive, attentive and on-hand to answer every query, calm any nerve and even have a bit of a laugh about odds and ends that arose throughout the process. The weekend arrived swiftly, and I say weekend as our wedding was a 2 night event exclusively held at Tankardstown House. We welcomed 230 guests for our wedding day, and about 80 hung around to party a second time on Day 2. We, the bridal party arrived at 7am on the Saturday morning in the outstanding Bridal Preparation Room and we remained in Tankardstown House until we checked out at about 12pm on the Monday. We loved every minute of it. I am a planner and a stickler for detail, but I made a promise to myself that once I arrived, I was going to hand the reins over to everyone else in charge, and I am so glad I did. Every single member of staff, from the ladies that brought us our breakfast in the bridal prep room that morning, to the lovely Fran, to the staff serving the food and greeting guests at reception. I cannot fault a single person, and my husband as well as anyone that attended our wedding would attest to this fact. Not enough could be done for us, we wanted for nothing. We felt like the most important people in their world for the entire weekend. The food was impeccable from start to finish - breakfast, the gourmet sandwiches we were served as snacks, the wedding dinner and Day 2 BBQ were faultless. One concern I had was the size of the bar in the Orangery, I was worried it would get crowded easily with the numbers attending our wedding but the service was seamless. This is all in addition to the beautiful venue that is Tankardstown House. Every guest complimented the rooms they were staying in, the rooms in the main house are beautiful and the Bridal Suite was second to none. The Orangery is breathtaking (I actually had a little cry when I first saw it all decorated for our day!) The main house is tranquil and we particularly enjoyed being able to relax here during the afternoon of Day 2. The highlight for me was the Bridal Preparation Room in the courtyard. Myself and my bridesmaids spent the best of 7 hours getting ready at our leisure. It was the most relaxed morning. We were kept fed and watered and provided with a lift to the Orangery for the ceremony as the weather was less than ideal for walking (didn't expect much more for February!) I must say, the weather wasn't great at all for the weekend, and I didn't even notice. Any brides or grooms -to-be reading this, in the process of planning your wedding and looking for your perfect venue, you will not regret spending your special day in Tankardstown House in the hands of their Dream Team.
