At Stephen’s Green Club, we host intimate weddings for 35–80 guests in a beautiful historic Georgian setting overlooking St. Stephen’s Green. Our elegant Hibernian Room, filled with natural light from original sash windows, provides a stunning space for your wedding meal, while the beautifully detailed domed ceiling of the Card Room is perfect for civil, humanist, or spiritual ceremonies.
Guests can enjoy drinks in our private courtyard, a hidden oasis in the heart of the city, before celebrating together in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
With the gardens of St. Stephen’s Green just steps away, couples also have a perfect backdrop for unforgettable wedding photographs in one of Dublin’s most iconic locations.

SGC was the first venue we viewed and there was never any doubt in our minds that we wanted our wedding there. Yourself and Helen were so warm and friendly from day dot. The food was excellent and many of our guests have made a point of this, so thank you. Yes, One couple had their guests write wishes on vintage cards that were displayed around the courtyard, creating a charming interactive experience. They had the cards framed and its was a wondeful memory of their wedding day that they had displayed in their new house.

A hand written note to each guest at their setting.

One of the most loved photo spots is just across the road in St. Stephen’s Green. The beautiful gardens, tree-lined paths, and charming Victorian shelters provide a stunning and timeless backdrop for wedding photos in every season. Inside the Club, couples also love the Hibernian Room, where natural light pours through the original Georgian sash windows overlooking the park perfect for elegant, romantic moments captured during your celebration.

What’s your favourite canapé?
It’s hard to pick just one, but a real favourite is smoked salmon blini with a touch of crème fraîche. It’s a classic that feels perfectly at home in a Georgian setting and is always a hit with guests during the drinks reception.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Wedding Cake!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Our original domed ceiling from 1840 in the Card room its definitely a showstopper. Its intricate plasterwork and classic Georgian charm create a sense of drama and ceremony that makes your wedding feel truly special. Guests always love looking up in awe, it’s one of those details that makes your day unforgettable.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
We’re incredibly proud of our longstanding tradition of hospitality since 1840. As a Private Members’ Club, we’ve spent nearly two centuries welcoming guests with warmth, attention to detail, and a personal touch that makes every event feel special. Bringing that same care and elegance to weddings allows couples to celebrate their day in a space that’s steeped in history, yet feels intimate and timeless.
