Venues for Every Celebration The Dining Room offers an intimate space for up to 20 guests. The Gothic Ballroom, ideal for up to 100 guests, offers a magical setting for ceremonies & banquets. Larger celebrations can be held in our elegant marquee (May-September) in the Castle Courtyard, accommodating up to 200 guests. Tailored Celebrations Exclusive use of the Castle allows you to design a bespoke event, whether a one-day celebration or a 2-3 day experience with rehearsal dinners, weddings, and post-event gatherings like a BBQ or Pig on a Spit. Ceremony Options Choose from the Ballroom, sweeping lawns, or intimate State Rooms. Nearby churches are also available for your ceremony. Dining & Accommodation Enjoy personalized dining options from our own Castle kitchens in our unique spaces. We live in the United States and booked Slane Castle without visiting beforehand. We connected through our love of music, and got engaged in Ireland in 2023, so this was really the perfect venue for us. The venue was stunning, the decorations the castle provided were beautiful, and the food was delicious. Our friends and family are still talking about how amazing the castle was. The venue is stunning and the surrounds are lovely with the River Boyne in the background. The staff are friendly and the service is incredible. The food was delicious and plentiful. Slane Castle will always hold a very dear place in our hearts. Our guests loved the venue just as much as we did!We got married on 17/04/25 at Slane Castle. Do you hold more than one wedding a day?
No, we do not! We have a one wedding a day policy. In addition to this, we offer full, exclusive, Castle Hire for your wedding. This means no other event will be happening on the Castle grounds during your wedding day.
Are you able to give us vendor recommendations?
Of course! We are happy to provide contact details for vendors that are trusted by us and/or have worked in the venue before. All you need to do is ask your wedding coordinator what you are looking for, and they will provide a list.
Would I be able to have a rehearsal day the night before as well as a celebration the day after our wedding?
Definitely! We specialise in multiday weddings. We can offer night before wedding rehearsals with your close family and then day two celebrations which could include a barbecue and a pig on a spit! That's one of the best things about getting married in Slane Castle, we can accommodate most requests, and we have plenty of event spaces to make your day special.
Do you cater for couples that do not live in Ireland?
Of course we do! We have many past and present wedding couples who come from all over the world including, America, Japan, Canada, and the UK. We work with and around the time schedules to ensure your wedding planning experience with us is no different to that of people who live close by!
