We held our civil ceremony and reception there, and it could not have been better. We knew that we were in safe hands. Everything was so well organised that we did not have to worry about a thing and could relax and enjoy the day with our guests. The food was excellent, the waiters and waitresses were so professional and friendly, and the banqueting suite looked absolutely perfect. We are so glad that we chose the Talbot.We would highly recommend the Talbot Hotel Cork as a wedding venue. We held our civil ceremony and reception there, and it could not have been better. There's an underground car park at the hotel in addition to the Overground car park. Be prepared to get courses a different way around. They cater for weddings at the hotel. It’s impossible to choose just one "best" wedding because every celebration at Talbot Hotel Cork is uniquely special. Each couple brings their own personality, love story, and vision, making every wedding a truly unforgettable experience. From intimate gatherings to grand celebrations, we've had the privilege of witnessing countless beautiful moments, and it’s always an honor to be part of such a meaningful day. 💕
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
I always suggest couples to both sit down & write down their top 3 priorities for their wedding day. For example, having great food & drink, a relaxed low stress atmosphere, certain elements of what they are envisioning for their day. Once we have identified what matters most, we use those priorities as a filter for every decision.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
One of my favorite personal touches at weddings is when couples incorporate meaningful traditions or mementos that reflect their unique love story. For example, some couples have included handwritten letters to each other, exchanged during the ceremony, or created personalized keepsakes that guests can take home as a reminder of the day.
These small, heartfelt details really make the celebration feel even more special, adding a personal touch that resonates deeply with everyone involved. It’s those moments that truly make each wedding memorable and meaningful. 💕
