A Wedding here at Talbot Hotel Midleton is all about you, the couple. We have packages to cater for small, intimate weddings or for the larger traditional receptions. Anna, our Wedding Co-ordinator, takes great pride in making your day the most special day of your life! We have earned an outstanding reputation for weddings here in East Cork for delivering excellence, through our facilities, service, and food. Try and visualise your journey from your first glimpse to your first dance… We will organise a personal showaround of our venue where you get the chance to view our beautiful spaces, there’s a few, and ask any questions you have, there’s probably a few of them too. Tour our Jameson Suite; ideal for Weddings of up to 200 guests, our Garden Suite; perfect for Drinks Receptions or smaller Weddings and our private Gardens; where Wedding couples and their guests have full access to throughout their special day and where we’ve also hosted religious, civil and humanist ceremonies in the past. Our private Gardens have served as the backdrop for many couples’ photographs in the past but there are also many areas within and close to the Hotel that might work too.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Every wedding is memorable in its own way, but the ones that really stay with me are when couples face unexpected challenges and we pull everything together seamlessly behind the scenes. Seeing a bride and groom completely relaxed, knowing I’ve taken care of everything, is always the most special part for me.

Describe your style as a Wedding Coordinator

Calm, organised and reassuring. I’m very hands-on and detail-focused, but I also want couples to feel like they can message or call me about anything — big or small. I’m there to guide you, not overwhelm you.

What makes you different from other venues?

For me, it’s personal. I genuinely care about every couple I work with and treat each wedding as if it were my own. From the first viewing right through to the last dance, I’m with you every step of the way.

What is your favourite part of the planning process?

I love the build-up — menu tastings, room décor discussions, timelines coming together. But nothing beats seeing everything set up on the morning of the wedding and knowing how excited the couple are going to be when they walk in.

What advice would you give to couples?

Don’t sweat the small stuff. Guests won’t notice if a napkin is slightly out of place — they’ll remember how happy you looked. Focus on each other and enjoy the day. That’s what truly matters.

How involved are you on the wedding day?

I’m there from early morning, overseeing set-up, liaising with suppliers, guiding your bridal party, and ensuring everything runs to schedule. My job is to make sure you don’t have to worry about a thing.

How would couples describe working with you?

Approachable, responsive and reassuring. I always aim to respond quickly and keep communication clear so couples feel supported throughout the entire process.

How do you handle last-minute changes or unexpected issues?

Calmly and quietly. Weddings rarely run exactly to plan, and that’s completely normal. My role is to solve any issues behind the scenes before you even know they happened. Whether it’s a supplier delay, a weather change, or guest adjustments, I always have a Plan B (and usually a Plan C!).

What can couples expect from their first meeting with you?

A relaxed, no-pressure chat. I want to hear your vision, your priorities, and what matters most to you as a couple. It’s about getting to know each other and seeing how we can bring your ideas to life — not overwhelming you with information.

What’s one thing couples are often surprised by?

How smoothly everything runs on the day! A lot of couples tell me afterwards they didn’t realise how much coordination happens behind the scenes — from timing courses perfectly to managing suppliers and keeping everything on schedule. My goal is for you to feel completely present and able to enjoy every moment.
