At Lawlor’s, we believe that your wedding day should be nothing short of magical. That's why we've spared no effort to create a truly unforgettable experience for you and your loved ones. From the opulent event spaces to the exquisite menu crafted by our executive chef team, every detail has been carefully thought out to ensure that your special day is nothing less than perfect. We pride ourselves on creating unforgettable memories, which is why we are delighted to now be taking bookings for weddings in our newly opened Ballroom and Glending Suite on Fridays and Saturdays. Both spaces have beautiful private gardens which can be used exclusively for your wedding party, the Ballroom also has a private conservatory. We have several other event spaces suitable for more intimate weddings and our wedding coordinator would be delighted to give you a tour of all we have to offer.

Lawlor's was actually the first venue we went to see and we fell in love with the place immediately. Lawlor's is full of charm and history with many incredible aesthetic features that make it stand out from the crowd! It manages to be both modern, with a stately home feel all at once! It's décor made for unique and stunning photographs and they were quite the talking point, from the internal stained glass windows, to the iconic cocktail bar with brass detailing from Las Vegas! Our initial meeting with Eileen let us know that we would be in safe hands throughout the progress. Her enthusiasm and genuine pride in Lawlor's was contagious! Lawlor's wedding coordinator, Stephen Beggs, is the most calm, accommodating and attentive person you could ever hope to deal with in planning your wedding! No request was too big and he was always quick to return an email, take a call or arrange a meeting. Banqueting Manager, Michaela, gave us great advice about what food would work best for us on the day and she made sure everything went seamlessly during service. The food was delicious, warm and varied enough for all tastes and the evening food went down an absolute treat too! In the run up to the wedding, every time we went over for a catch up with Stephen or to look around the venue, we were warmly greeted by all members of staff and asked how the wedding planning was coming along! You are made to feel like your wedding is special and really matters to everyone there. We requested a very simple day two in 'The Random Inn; which is the small bar in the older part of the hotel and it was just perfect. It was small and intimate with the most delicious finger food! Our guests were all so incredibly complimentary about the venue, food and ambience, and the word we kept hearing over and over to describe the day was 'relaxed' which was music to our ears, and due in huge part to the staff of Lawlor's. The day couldnt have been more perfect and it was with the help of the staff of Lawlers hotel. We also had a tight time frame of 4 mths of arrange everything! There was great communication from the hotel in the lead up to the wedding which ensured everything went as planned on the day with no issues and anything we asked for was accommodated. It really created a speacial wedding day for us to remember. All our guests comments were so positive on the venue and day. The wedding planner Stephen was so helpful. Tom the restaurant manager ensured everything went smoothly on the actually day. He informed us what was happening and ensured that we were happy with everything. Also Shona the reservations manager was so helpful for the accommodation for the wedding. We had an amazing day and the staff were so helpful. Hats of to Stephen our wedding Co ordinator who made the whole process of the wedding fun and relaxing. We couldn't of picked a better venue. I stayed the night before my wedding had an amazing bit of grub and a few drinks. The best sleep was had as the beds and pillows are super comfortable. The getting ready room for hair and make up is the best idea beside the room I stayed in making going back and forth to the room very easy.when the photographer arrived he was able to take photos of my dress and other details with out having a mess in the background. Stephen guided us throughout the morning keeping a check on us throughout and had me down to the courtroom in perfect time, the courtroom was so beautiful with flowers and t lights it was beautiful and spacious for our wedding party. We enjoyed some bubbles in the lounge down by the new bar before dinner. The attention to detail in the new decor is amazing and it stands out incredibly in our wedding photos. Our meal was beautiful, so delighted it was hot and fresh and so tasty, empty plates all round. All staff were amazing and so friendly, Brenda at the desk made everyone checking in so easy she is so warm and welcoming and just amazing, Dee also popped by a couple of times to check in and make sure we were happy and asked if we needed anything she was amazing. After our meal with the family we welcomed out evening guests in the ballroom. Soon after they were seated for their buffet and again empty plates all round everyone raved about the food some will be back to have their own experiences in the hotel in their own time we were told, the music started and away the night went. The bar was kept going the staff again were brilliant and kept everyone happy. Myself and my husband couldn't recommend you all enough. We were very happy with everything and can't thank you enough for making our day so special amazing and so memorable. Stephen the wedding coordinator was amazing nothing was too much trouble and he made everything run smoothly on the day, actually all the staff at Lawlor’s were great so helpful and friendly. The food for meal and drinks reception was delicious and plenty of it. The function room is beautiful and they have a lovely garden off it that’s private for you and your guests, we had our ceremony out here. They is 3 other options to have your ceremony 1. The courtroom suitable for small wedding 2. The Glending suit 3. The Ballroom We also had our day two at Lawlor’s in the Random Bar which is a cool old style bar exclusive to the wedding we had options of finger food or chicken curry or a bbq, we had finger food and it was lovely. We stayed the night before the wedding, I had a lovely suite and there was a function room right beside it for us to get ready in which was amazing, there was lots of room and it was lovely and bright and airy with lots of windows. There was tea and coffee facilities too. We didn’t leave the hotel the whole day. We felt we didn’t need to go off with the photographer as there is so many lovely places around and in the hotel to take pictures. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
The best wedding was quite a small affair. They had their ceremony in our 18th Century courtoom, dinner in our restaurant and then had an evening reception in the Random Inn. They really made the most of every inch of the hotel.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Focus on looking after your guests! If they are well fed, entertained and are in a space where they can relax then your wedding will be a memorable event.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
One couple had a handdrawn sketch of each of their guests for place names. Such dedictaion!

The bar in Vi's restaurant, which was designed by our owner Jack.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We've hosted some All-Ireland winning football teams, Love Island hosts and even a couple of Rolling Stones.... We are still looking for our first celebrity wedding (although all our couples get the VIP treatment)
What’s your favourite canapé?
Cured Beef Tatar tartlet, Soy, Japanese Radish, Wasabi... delicious!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Jane Russel’s sausages in thyme& red onion gravy, baby Waterford Blaa’s, hot mustard
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Our 18th Century Courtroom, located on the 4th floor has to be the most unusual addition to our hotel. It is an ideal location for a couple looking for a more unconventional but spectacular ceremony location
What part of your business are you most proud of?
I love to see the enthusiasm that the team have when a wedding is inhouse. All the small little gestures that staff spontaneously do to make the occasion more memorable.
