Since 1745 Eccles Hotel has been welcoming wedding couples to this idyllic part of West Cork. With views over the beautiful Bantry Bay, this is a wedding venue like no other. Situated a short driving distance from the delightful St. Finbarr’s Church in romantic Gougane Barra, we will help you create the memories of a lifetime. Your wedding day is one of the biggest days of your life, so trust us to make it a day to remember. We only host one wedding per day at Eccles Hotel so our whole wedding team can look after you on your special day. From your first enquiry to when the final guest departs and everything in between, Marie, our wedding coordinator, is there to ensure that your special day runs smoothly. We can welcome up to 250 guests, and we are on hand to organise everything from flowers to fizz, music to menus, all in the magnificent setting of our Ilnacullin suite, overlooking the stunning Bantry Bay. Our seasonal wedding menus and drinks reception include locally sourced food, from West Cork Artisan food producers. We can also accommodate smaller wedding parties and each wedding will receive the same care and attention to detail. Our Spa at Eccles is the perfect place to spend some time together as a couple in our beautiful bay view couples suite. Our bridal suite ‘The Yeats Suite’ will be reserved for the happy couple with breakfast in bed the following morning, you can dine in the suite or sit out on the balcony and take in the views of the stunning Glengarriff Harbour whilst enjoying your first morning coffee as a married couple.

Happy couple married in June

Everything flowed to perfection

We had our wedding reception at The Eccles Hotel on the 8th of June. Right from arriving on Friday night, we had a fantastic welcome. On the Saturday, everything flowed to perfection from the morning til the early hours of Sunday. The ballroom setup, the canapes, the late night snacks, all the way down to the purple edible flower petals decorating the refreshing sorbet that coordinated with the flower colour theme, nothing was a hassle. Our every need was catered for.

Amazing food and friendly staff

We had our wedding here a couple of weeks ago. Could not thank the Eccles enough (especially Marie). They made the day so special for us. Food was amazing and staff were so friendly. Thanking you Eccles :)

An absolute dream

I had my wedding here in 2018. It was an absolute dream. This place exceeded all my expectations. The staff was so kind & accommodating. The rooms were lovely & HUGE by European standards. We still talk about the food to this day. Every meal we had was incredibly fresh & delicious. The views from our room & the patio were breathtaking. It's also such a convient walk into Glengariff for pubs and shops. My husband & I can't wait to come back for a stay & use the new spa.

Fantastic

We got married at the Bantry House and had our reception at the Eccles Hotel. I can only rave about our experiences. They took such fantastic care of us. We came in from Florida with about 30 guests in our party and they treated us like gold even though by all standards we were a very small wedding. Not once did they treat us like we were anything but special. Marie was our hotel wedding coordinator and she is absolutely incredible!!! She helped me plan my wedding every step of the way.
