Clayton Hotel & Leisure Club Sligo

It is such a fabulous setting. From our 1st meeting with Vilma we loved it and booked it straight away, she was always a pleasure to deal with and from there on in everything was plain sailing. On the day itself, everything was fantastic and we were blown away. The newly refurbished ballroom looked amazing. Our wedding day was perfect and the Clayton was a big part of that, we would absolutely recommend having your wedding here, you won't regret it.

Vilma and her team were on the ball from minute one, the layout was spectacular, the staff were amazing, the reception food and drink was unreal , the timing from staff right down to the meal was impeccable and the meal itself has guests still talking about it 6 weeks later, wonderful all round, We would have no trouble recommending the Clayton hotel Sligo for a wedding it’s perfect, massive thanks to everyone involved on the day

It was hard to fault anything it was such a fabulous day. I myself found hard to give over control on decorating room but walking into reception you put everything I envisioned in my mind into reality. The extra details from seating plan, menu and as you said cutting branches down was exceptional. Everyone has come back to us with amazing response from the hotel to food it was superb.

Firstly our accommodation was upgraded to a junior suite with a welcome platter of fresh fruit. The beautiful Christmas decorations were still in place so a lovely atmosphere prevailed. Our function room was so lovely - white chair covers, round tables wonderfully decorated created a very special ambiance. The hotel provided, free of charge, a meeting room that we used as a play area for the little people in our party. Our pre-dinner mulled wine reception was lovely - wine was piping hot.

From start to finish the staff were incredible. They are all so friendly and attentive. Vilma in particular our wedding coordinator was amazing, always at hand! I had very little to do once I arrived, they took over and it was perfect. The service and food were outstanding and this was mentioned to me countless times from my wedding guests. All my guests staying had zero complaints over the entire weekend. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Read less

We had our sons wedding on 13th May 2023. The hotel was excellent in every way.The staff were so helpful. The food, decor, location, accommodation for our guests were excellent. We had our ceremony and reception in Clayton Sligo. Vilma was great to communicated with, she obviously has experience in organising and overseeing weddings. Big thank you to Vilma. All staff were so helpful and would do everything to make our day special. Food was delicious, everyone complimented it. Breakfast had a lot of choice. Bar staff were friendly and nice. Hotel staff decorated venue beautifully and setting was really good. We would recommend Sligo Clayton hotel.

I had my wedding at the Clayton Hotel Sligo on the 11th May 2024. Everybody commented on how beautiful the food was and the amount they were given. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the rooms were beautiful. The hotel even gave my mum a room to accommodate her mobility. Vilma the wedding coordinator was outstanding through my whole wedding planning. The scenery around the hotel is just beautiful. Very Friendly Staff Fantastic Building Grounds and Wedding Venue The only thing I would recommend is there was only two of us staying in the suite. If I was with a young family there was a lot of wasted space in the hallway where some armchairs could be placed for the adults while the kids went to sleep. I have been in that situation and it would be very helpful

All the staff here are just so wonderful and lovely, the wedding manager Sandra is one of the best people I have ever met, to say she is dedicated is an understatement! The food here is delicious, especially the warm duck salad, clearly the staff know what they are doing and the pool is such a added bonus to the whole experience!
