Clayton Hotel Sligo is a beautiful venue for any Sligo wedding or special occasion. Its spectacular exterior, dating back to the 19th century, beautifully kept lawns and gorgeous scenic surroundings overlooked by the magnificent Benbulben Mountain, make it a truly unique wedding venue.
An intimate wedding or a big celebration – we create bespoke, flexible wedding packages so your day is exactly how you imagined. Our Pegasus Ballroom can cater for up to 400 guests and can furthermore be personalised for your special day. With a built-in LED light system, our lighting can also be coordinated to accommodate your bridal colour scheme.

From our 1st meeting with Vilma we loved it and booked it straight away, she was always a pleasure to deal with and from there on in everything was plain sailing. On the day itself, everything was fantastic and we were blown away. The newly refurbished ballroom looked amazing. Our wedding day was perfect and the Clayton was a big part of that, we would absolutely recommend having your wedding here, you won't regret it.It is such a fabulous setting. I myself found hard to give over control on decorating room but walking into reception you put everything I envisioned in my mind into reality. The extra details from seating plan, menu and as you said cutting branches down was exceptional. Everyone has come back to us with amazing response from the hotel to food it was superb. The beautiful Christmas decorations were still in place so a lovely atmosphere prevailed. Our function room was so lovely - white chair covers, round tables wonderfully decorated created a very special ambiance. The hotel provided, free of charge, a meeting room that we used as a play area for the little people in our party. Our pre-dinner mulled wine reception was lovely - wine was piping hot. Everybody commented on how beautiful the food was and the amount they were given. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the rooms were beautiful. The hotel even gave my mum a room to accommodate her mobility. Vilma the wedding coordinator was outstanding through my whole wedding planning. The scenery around the hotel is just beautiful. It's like a castle and I felt like a princess that day I can't recommend it enough, it'sI had my wedding at the Clayton Hotel Sligo on the 11th May 2024. If I was with a young family there was a lot of wasted space in the hallway where some armchairs could be placed for the adults while the kids went to sleep. The food here is delicious, especially the warm duck salad, clearly the staff know what they are doing and the pool is such a added bonus to the whole experience!
