Castle Durrow was lovingly restored by Tessa’s parents in the 90’s, after raising their family here & establishing one of the top wedding venue’s in Ireland, they handed over the reins to Tessa & her husband Robin, retiring from a career that spanned over 40 years in the hospitality industry. Between the night before and the day of our wedding, everything went perfectly and we couldn't have a bad word to say about the venue, service and the food! We had so many compliments about the venue, the food in particular and how nice and helpful the staff were to all our guests. We recently had our wedding at Castle Durrow and we honestly cannot put into words how incredible the experience was. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations a hundred times over. The team at Castle Durrow are second to none. Every single staff member was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. They not only ensured our guests were looked after and felt heard throughout the day, but they also went above and beyond for us as a couple. We felt completely at ease and never had to worry about a single detail, everything flowed so seamlessly thanks to them. Special thanks to our wedding coordinator, who truly made sure the day was about us, even helping us carve out those precious moments together that can be so easily lost in the busyness of a wedding. Alannah was also an absolute joy to work with from the moment we booked right through to the very end, nothing was ever too much trouble, and her warmth and thoughtfulness shone through every interaction. The venue itself is stunning, the food was unbelievable (our guests are still raving about it!), and the overall atmosphere was simply magical. We had friends in the hospitality industry attend who said it was the smoothest, most professional, and best wedding they had ever experienced – which says it all. Castle Durrow is a truly special place with a phenomenal team behind it. We are so grateful for everything they did to make our day unforgettable and we can’t wait to return again and again in the years to come. We want to say a massive thank you to you all for having us to celebrate our very special wedding day at Castle Durrow on the 19th of December. We can’t thank you enough for accommodating the change of date initially and also ensuring the day was as perfect as it was. It was everything we dreamed of and so much more. Everyone has complemented every part of the day and service, including how amazing the meal was. They’re still all talking about it now.
