The beautiful venue, the glorious grounds, the great staff, the brilliant food! We had an amazing wedding day and a lot of it is down to Taylor & her team at Castle Dargan! From the moment we met Taylor she was very chilled yet very organised, she was so easy going and open to all ideas we had, nothing was an issue, my family even had a sing song session the following morning on the grand piano - it's small things like this that make the whole few days so amazing! Her organisation was 10/10 she was always taking notes to ensure we were getting all we wanted, there was constant communication throughout the few years planning, and we could ask her anything. She also worked well with all our vendors - both music and food. When we had our menu tasting we were able to make slight adjustments to the options to suit us and our guests better. Everybody LOVED the food - a very important factor I think. The entire staff are so happy, welcoming and polite - something we have always noticed since before booking our wedding. Taylor truly is an asset to Castle Dargan in making peoples dream days become a reality! The venue itself is breathtaking. The mix of historic charm, rolling grounds, and beautiful indoor spaces gave us the most stunning backdrop for our day. Our guests were blown away by the setting, and the photo opportunities were endless. The food was another highlight, every course was delicious, beautifully presented, and served piping hot. Many of our guests are still talking about how fantastic the meal was! A special mention also has to go to Bryan, the banqueting manager, who was fantastic not only on the day but also during our menu tasting. His professionalism, warmth, and genuine care really shone through. What truly made our experience outstanding, though, was our wedding coordinator, Taylor. She was incredible throughout the whole process professional, organised, and so calm. From the moment we first met her, we felt completely at ease. On the day itself, she somehow managed to be everywhere at once, quietly making sure every detail ran smoothly, without us ever having to worry. Christmas Weddings at Castle Dargan Estate are always special, with hotel & ballroom beautifully decorated for the festive season, it creates the perfect backdrop for a memorable day! With the option of Fireworks being permitted on our golf course, your photos will be spectacular!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Table Plans are one of the trickiest parts of wedding planning, I would always recommend for couples to begin working on this as soon as possible. When compiling your guest list, it can be great to work on a draft of your table plan at this time!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Personalised Table Numbers are always a favourite, we have seen so many creative ideas with couples naming tables after places they've visited (even including photos) or having photos of the couple at each age corresponding with the table numbers.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
The Ruins of the Original Castle Dargan are still visible to this day on our Golf Course. You can find these located beside our 3rd Hole on our 18 Hole Championship Golf Course.
W.B Yeats himself was a frequent visitor of the Estate, and wrote about the Castle Ruins in his famous poem 'The Wicked Hawthorn Tree'

What is your venue's most unique feature?
We are set on 170 acres of rolling parkland in a stunning country setting, so I would have to say our photo opportunities are our most unique, from the Castle Ruins to the stunning surroundings of our 18 hole golf course, we even have dedicated white golf buggies for couple transport around the grounds for photos!
What part of your business are you most proud of?
We have an amazing team here at Castle Dargan Estate, and pride ourselves on offering not only amazing service but our team of chefs lead by our Head Chef, Sonu, have curated an amazing menu offering!
