Many of my guests had never been there before and everyone was impressed! All the the staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful! Everything was just perfect ! We had our day in Sept and booked a year in advance, Laura was informative and helpful with every correspondence and listened attentively to our wants and needs for the day. The execution was perfect on the day and couldn't have gone any better. The food was incredible and tweaks made along the way to cater for our needs. The team in Avalon are a credit to the management and themselves, they were so friendly and well organised ensuring everything flowed smoothly. A huge thank you to the team, you are doing a great job and I would highly recommend Avalon as a wedding venue. The hotel is quaint and has lots of character giving loads of photo opportunities around the hotel and surrounds. The rooms are beautifully decorated and clean. The breakfast is cooked fresh and delicious, something for everyone. We enjoyed our day so much! Laura was always very responsive, attentive, accommodating and flexible. And always seemed to be available. Laura welcomed any visits we needed in the run up to the big day. On the day itself, the floor staff were immaculate and very courteous to all our guests. The Avalon worked seamlessly with our florists and photographers at all times.We dealt mostly in the planning with Laura who, like all the Avalon people, is the ultimate professional. Laura was always very responsive, attentive, accommodating and flexible. And always seemed to be available. Laura welcomed any visits we needed in the run up to the big day. On the day itself, the floor staff were immaculate and very courteous to all our guests. The Avalon worked seamlessly with our florists and photographers at all times.

Our wedding was here in June and it was phenomenal, the best weekend of our lives. One of our favourite personal touches was when E&E brought in their beloved arcade machines and created a gaming corner for guests. It reflected their fun personalities perfectly and gave everyone something unique to enjoy.

Our iconic red door is a favourite for those timeless wedding shots, while the red gates make a stunning backdrop for evening photos under the glow of our festoon lighting, the perfect mix of romance and character, day or night.

While we can’t name names, we believe every couple and guest deserves the star treatment. At Avalon House Hotel, we make it our mission to ensure everyone feels like a celebrity on their special day.
What’s your favourite canapé?
It has to be our Goujons of Cod Fillet in crisp Tempura Batter with Tartare Sauce - a timeless favourite that’s always a hit with guests.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
You can’t go wrong with some hot bites — at that stage of the night, chicken goujons are always a hit!
