Wrights Anglers Rest has the most picturesque location next to the banks of the river Liffey at the Strawberry Beds in Co. Dublin. We have a renowned reputation for fine food. We also have the capacity to cater for up to 10 people in our spacious and contemporary Phoenix Room. All these things make Wrights Angler’s Rest an increasingly popular and alternative venue for Wedding Parties. The natural beauty of the nearby Phoenix Park – provides the ideal backdrop for wedding photographs – extensive parking and our proximity to Dublin city centre are added attractions for couples looking for that romantic setting with a difference to celebrate their big day. Instead of the more conservative surroundings of a hotel, couples find the intimate ambience of Wrights Angler’s Rest particularly appealing. The venue is beautiful, food delicious & everyone has commented how everything was organised so well & it was such a fun, relaxing day. We wanted somewhere that felt intimate but big enough to celebrate with our family & friends & you all went above & beyond, I can't thank the Anglers Rest team enough. I really hope our friends & family hurry up & get engaged so we can recommend the Anglers RestEverything was perfect & made us feel at ease & free of stress in the lead up & during the day. So many of our guests said it was some of the best food they ever had at a wedding! The service on the night was so accommodating as well. On the day itself, the weather the weather was pretty dreadful, but the entire venue was so cosy..the fireplace was lit, there were candles everywhere & it was so cosy. A huge thank you to Agata & team in particular for all their support in the lead up to the day!The food, service, decor & atmosphere was absolutely amazing. From start to finish the whole process was effortless & took very little time, they just knew what to ask us & made it happen. As a venue it's beautifully quirky with it's beams & charm. It was still twinkling from Christmas when we got married so it had a little extra bit of magic. Food was amazing, service perfectly & I couldn't say enough good things about it. Still getting compliments on the food from my guests.We couldn't have asked for more from Agata & the team. Nothing was too big a task or inconvenience for the fantastic team who took amazing care of us and made sure that our day went seamlessly. Can I get a late licence
Yes we can get you a late licence which will extend regular bar closing times by 2hours. This means your bar & music can go until this time. The current license fee is €500 & we only apply this this 6 weeks in advance so no need to decide until then.
Is the venue dog friendly
Yes, we know how much your fur baby means to you so well behaved dogs are allowed for the ceremony & up until dinner is served. T&c apply please speak to your wedding cordinator in advance
Is there outside space
Yes there is a private terrace off the 1st floor wedding venue
Is it lift accessible
Yes we have a lift from the ground floor to the 1st floor wedding venue. Once here you have the ceremony room, dancefloor, dining space, bathrooms & terrace all on one level.
Do you need to decorate the space
No we take care of all that for you. The ceremony room will be set with rustic white wedding chairs & filled with candles, lanterns & fairy lights. The reception room will have tables dressed with white linen, vases of fresh seasonal flowers, rustic centre pieces, candles & fairy lights.
