Former dependency of the royal Abbey of Fontevraud, the Priory of Relay opens the doors of its 12th century sanctuary to you for the organization of your events. A few kilometers from the castles of Balzac and Azay-le-Rideau, in the heart of Touraine, in the Lys valley, come and discover this magnificent estate which will add character to your big day.
The Prieuré de Relay will provide you with the Converse room. Former 15th century Converse kitchens, this space of more than 100 m² has been renovated to offer you quality comfort so that your wedding is unforgettable. With its oak beams, this room can accommodate 90 people for a seated meal.

There are several buildings which made up a priory in the Middle Ages. These buildings have been carefully restored and transformed into a gîte. It's perfect for large family groups. There is even an old chapel and a large reception room, and the owners are really very welcoming and full of good advice for discovering the region.It is a magnificent place, timeless, in a magnificent park. The place is full of charm, very quiet and restored with great taste. We appreciated the calm (even with other tenants, it was very quiet), the swimming pool, the new bedding, the walks in the forests and the good advice for visiting some nearby castles. I highly recommend this place for a stay with friends or family (we were there with our baby).Address to recommend! We spent a 3-day weekend at the Prieuré de Relay. We spent the weekend walking the nearby forests and visiting the many beautiful castles the area has to offer. (I highly recommend Château d'Azay-le-Rideau, which is nearby). The pool was lovely and a great place to relax after a long day of walking. Thanks to Stéphane and Béatrice for being exceptional hosts and providing us with good advice for the weekend.
