Description

If you keep your eyes open, you will also spot in the current house a gunboat heading towards the Castle. In the 17th century, the fort was enlarged on both sides to become this large mansion. A wealthy duchess then bought Combelle to live there with her childhood sweetheart, a famous composer and performer whose piano still resonates within the walls of the house today. While the Duchess has been living with her nurse and her priest for several years, the nurse causes the death of the two other residents before fleeing with the family jewels which she replaces with fake ones! Many other stories have been reported over the years about this duchess but it is difficult to discern today which are real and which are invented! …

Beyond the fact that this place is magnificent and that this residence is full of history, I would like to highlight the relationship maintained with the owner. Mr. Petite put everything in place to welcome us well: making all the services and products available in a very friendly manner, he showed us a sincere interest in our well-being, and above all a very appreciable and fair play. much appreciated in these troubled times. The departure was in a very good mood.Beyond the fact that this place is magnificent and that this residence is full of history, I would like to highlight the relationship maintained with the owner. Wow!!! A magnificent setting, peaceful in the heart of nature with beautiful majestic trees, birds everywhere, sheep, even llamas and of course deer. The house remained cool despite the nice temperature outside. The wellness area and swimming pool with a fantastic view of the valley.Wow!!! I organized a weekend to celebrate the 20th anniversary of my business. We were treated to a warm welcome, despite the late arrival time, and perfect organization and preparation for our stay. Didier offered to fill the fridge before our arrival with quality regional products... Fabulous family weekend at the Combelle estate! A superb house whose proportions allowed the family to be together; plus a visit to the llamas in the evening.! A beautiful swimming pool that we enjoyed during this heatwave as well as the shade of the large trees in the park. A warm welcome upon our arrival and good responsiveness from our host. To be done again because it was too short!! Fabulous family weekend at the Combelle estate!
