Description

Choose to rent the Château de Serrant located in Anjou for your event. Just a few dozen meters from the château stands the Orangerie de Serrant, a superb 17th-century building lit by large windows topped with classical pediments. Restored in 2016, the Orangerie now offers a magnificent setting to celebrate your event in a historic setting: original wooden ceiling, exposed stone walls, and terracotta floor tiles. The 210m² reception room retains the original features that give it its old charm. It can accommodate up to 190 people seated. Furniture (round tables and white folding chairs) is included in the château rental. We also provide a video projector and a screen. A wedding venue, the Orangerie has a cloakroom, restrooms (one with disabled access), and a warming room for caterers with separate access. The complex overlooks a large enclosed garden: a wide lawn can accommodate guests for a cocktail reception, while a large, raised, shaded terrace is the perfect setting for a secular ceremony. The garden is fully enclosed by walls to ensure guests' safety. The château's landscaped grounds are accessible for wedding photographs. As an option, we offer a farmhouse consisting of two separate spaces: a 15-bed dormitory with a shower room and a gîte with two double bedrooms and a bathroom. We also rent two 32 m² folding marquees and eight high tables for cocktail receptions. Magnificent private château, among the best furnished of the Loire châteaux. Contains exceptional artifacts. Unlike other tourist châteaux, it's very pleasant because you can see things up close. A must-see if you're in the Cholet or Angers region, or if you're passing through Chalonnes-sur-Loire. Guided tours are recommended to benefit from the guides' knowledge and see the exceptional library, a listed historic monument.Magnificent private château, among the best furnished of the Loire châteaux. A magnificent experience. Don't miss the incredible library... guided tour only. The young guide is extremely knowledgeable about his subject. The English-style garden offers beautiful views and a refreshing dip near the pond. Allow at least two hours for your visit.A magnificent experience. A fully furnished castle is rare. Take the guided tour, as you'll have access to the library with its 12,000 books, including some extremely rare editions. It's breathtaking! Choosing the right reception venue was a real challenge. What we immediately loved about Serrant: The charm of the old stonework, of course! Prestige and comfort combined in a unique setting. The tranquility of the location. The Orangery of the Château de Serrant is located a few minutes from the neighboring town, yet nestled in the heart of peaceful countryside. This allows for fun without time constraints. Thank you to Jessie and Geoffrey for their flexibility and accessibility. They made our life easier! We were able to move in on Friday and feel completely relaxed throughout the weekend." "We were able to take our couple's photos around the château. The centuries-old trees and the pond make the setting superb for such memories! We took advantage of the late afternoon light, the most beautiful, it was so romantic!" "For the return trip, we chose to have a marquee set up outside on the lawn of the Orangerie garden. The superb weather made everything perfect, as did the charm of the location with the beautiful view of the Orangerie facade. The children ran and played all around us; we felt completely at ease because the garden is enclosed, and we knew no one could get lost. Some of our guests enjoyed the esplanade, a large shaded balcony overlooking the Orangerie and the surrounding countryside. Others were able to visit the château, for a special admission fee. The site is renowned for its beautiful furniture collections. An incredible charm for a magical wedding!
