Château Allure Du Lac is a magnificent 19th century château set in the heart of a 105 acre estate in France’s famous Loire Valley.
A private home only rented on an exclusive basis, it's sumptuously decorated with antiques and acclaimed to be one of the most spectacular château rentals in France, offering a 22-acre private recreational lake, an island with an antique gazebo & floating dock/terrace with a rowboat, 3-4 person kayak, & paddleboard for guests to use, a spectacular lakeside terrace, swimming pool, tennis court, 9-hole golf, gorgeous gardens, palatial lawns and forests full of wildlife. It's really like a private resort with so much for your guests to do during your stay!
With an elevator to all four floors, access to an array of reception rooms, dining rooms, chapel and the gorgeous ensuite bedrooms is easy for guests of all ages. We even have a ground floor bedroom that conforms to disabled access requirements.
We custom create each couple's wedding to fulfill their dreams and budget, rather than offering standard packages. The estate has many beautiful features rarely found elsewhere, and our couples often use different features for each part of their wedding.
Our private island offers a magically romantic atmosphere for an outdoor ceremony with an antique gazebo on the water’s edge and a cathedral-like canopy formed by century old trees. Or you can marry in our Gothic Chapel with its spectacular stained-glass windows.
The Lakeside Terrace is great for the cocktail party and our flower-filled Courtyard or our elegant Silver Dining Room are fabulous for your wedding dinner.
Afterwards your guests can dance the night away in our stunning Grand Salon.
We have sleeping accommodations for up to 38-46 Guests on our estate, with charming bed & breakfasts and hotels for additional Guests nearby.
We offer delicious catering options ranging from hearty buffets to 5 course gourmet meals. In addition to a welcome drink enroute to the ceremony, the cocktail party, wedding dinner and champagne and cake ceremonial toast, most of our couples choose to host additional events, such as a Champagne Brunch, Wine & Hors d’Oeuvres Tasting, Hog Roast, Garden BBQs and other fine dining options. You may also wish to enjoy our delicious in-house dining offered daily during your stay, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner served in the dining rooms or outside in the Courtyard.
We can also help arrange flowers, music, hairdressing, makeup and photography, etc..

The grounds and the rooms were well-kept and clean. The rooms inside are spacious, perfect for wedding parties. I love that there are many spots to have portraits done, and to host the ceremony and reception. I recommend this chateau to any American couple wanting to marry in France!I attended a wedding here as the couple's wedding photographer, and I was blown away by the chateau's view and charm. The grounds and the rooms were well-kept and clean. The rooms inside are spacious, perfect for wedding parties. The chateau premises are quite big , perfect for a morning stroll , the lake inside the premises is a great plus with its serene scenery . If you are planning a french style chateau wedding with a stay this is your must go to chateau !We had a wonderful french style wedding here , William was a great support facilitating everything we need , the stay in the chateau is another amazing experience everyone should try . Planning a wedding so far away and going sight unseen can be nerve wracking, but it was absolutely worth it and William helped put our minds at ease every step of the way. He was incredible, always responding to my emails within hours despite the time difference between France and the U.S. For nearly a year he patiently answered every question as we planned both the wedding and our stay. The château is stunning, impeccably decorated, period accurate, and more breathtaking in person than any photo could capture. The food was phenomenal, the staff were warm and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to accommodate our large group and guests with dietary restrictions. There is truly nowhere else in the world we would have rather celebrated our special day. I cannot recommend William and the château highly enough and only wish we could have stayed longer. The estate is breathtaking, but what made it truly unforgettable were William and Susie. From the very beginning, William guided us through planning a destination wedding from afar with such thoughtfulness that we felt confident even without ever visiting beforehand. Susie was equally delightful, and we loved learning the château’s history through both of them. We catered through them to simplify planning, trusting their team completely without a tasting, and the food turned out amazing—our guests are still raving about it! We were even able to customize our events exactly as we envisioned, including a Chinese tea ceremony with a tailored menu featuring duck bao buns and a vegetarian mushroom version. They’re super accommodating and executed it perfectly with me just sending them the recipe. Their attentiveness and flexibility made everything unique, personal, and truly out of our dreams. Can’t recommend catering through them enough! The château grounds are magical and full of activities, so our 30 guests rarely felt the need to leave. It created the perfect setting for us to celebrate, connect, and live together as a community for the week. Once again our experience was delightful and our guests absolutely loved everything about the property. We balanced out time between relaxing at the chateau around the pool, the lake tends court and the newly added golf course. The greens are a bit rough but the challenge of hitting golf balls between trees made the game interesting to all (serious golfers and hackers like me. The activities in the immediate area from Angers to Chinon and Rennes where plentiful and families as well as adults in the group found plenty to do within less than 75 minutes drive. The catering was again wonderful especially the wine and hors d’oeuvres buffet on the side of the lake. William and Susie are wonderful hosts, always present when needed whether a guest had a special request or a medical emergency. We enjoy moving around and discovering new places but we can see ourselves coming back to Chateau Allure du Lac with yet another batch of guests because we know they will have a very special stay there.We returned to Chateau Allure du Lac for our third time in four years. It was a very simple event to arrange via email thanks to the very quick, organized, and thoughtful responses, we got from the proprietor, William. It was truly an idyllic setting to celebrate a mile stone occasion. We would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a special place in France to hold an event at. It was also much more reasonably priced compared to what we would have paid where we live in the wine country in Sonoma, California.There are not enough adjectives to describe the epic experience we and all of our 32 guests had while staying at Château Allure du Lac in June 2023. It was a very simple event to arrange via email thanks to the very quick, organized, and thoughtful responses, we got from the proprietor, William. It was truly an idyllic setting to celebrate a mile stone occasion. We would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a special place in France to hold an event at. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
There have been so many fabulous weddings here. Most couples choose to have a few days of events including a lakeside Wine & Hors d'Oeuvres Tasting to welcome everyone and introduce them to La Vie du Chateau and a Champagne Brunch in the late morning after the wedding.
On the wedding day, most couples choose an outdoor ceremony in the Gazebo on the island with the sunlight filtering through the natural catherdral like canopy of trees and glistening on the water, followed by a cocktail party on the Lakeside Terrace, a Champagne Toast under the Twin Tower Balcony, a gourmet dinner in the Courtyard or the elegant Silver Dining Room, and dancing afterwards in the Grand Salon.
