An welche Hochzeit kannst du dich noch heute gut erinnern und warum?
This is a complex question. I've been to so many different countries and cultures that choosing just one favorite wedding is a bit unfair. I fondly remember a wedding in Hawaii where the vows were read at sunrise over the ocean horizon, with the couple standing barefoot in the water. There's also my first Muslim wedding in Beirut, or the one with a half-Gypsy theme in Sofia, Bulgaria. Then there was the wedding in the Chilean desert, another in the fjords of Norway, and yet another in Bavaria, where everyone wore traditional dirndl and lederhosen. With so many amazing experiences, it's impossible for me to choose just one!

Auf welchen Teil deines Geschäfts bist du am meisten stolz?
I'm most proud of building a photography business that goes beyond capturing beautiful images. My work is a cultural exploration, documenting the diverse ways humans celebrate love and connection around the world. It's incredibly rewarding to have transformed my passion for photography and anthropology into a meaningful career that allows me to share these unique stories with others.
Was ist Ihr wichtigster Hochzeitsplanungs-Tipp für Paare?
My top tip for couples planning their wedding is to infuse your unique story into every aspect of the day. Don't be afraid to break traditions and create a ceremony that truly reflects your love and shared experiences. By focusing on the heart of your relationship, you'll craft a wedding that is not only memorable but also deeply meaningful.
Welche persönliche Note hast du bei einer Hochzeit am liebsten gesehen?
One of my favorite personal touches I've seen at a wedding was a couple who incorporated traditional music and dresses from their respective cultures into the ceremony. It created such a rich and authentic atmosphere, reflecting their unique backgrounds and love story.

Typically, my process begins with an initial consultation to understand a couple's vision for their wedding day. We discuss their preferences and cultural backgrounds. From there, I create a tailored photography package that aligns with their needs and budget. On the wedding day, I strive to capture authentic moments and emotions while seamlessly blending into the celebration. Following the event, I carefully curate the images, ensuring they reflect the couple's unique story. My goal is to deliver a collection of photographs that not only document the day but also evoke lasting memories.
Was ist das wichtigste Foto, das jedes Paar machen sollte?
The number one photo every couple should take is the one that captures their genuine connection and emotion. While iconic shots like the first kiss or the grand exit are important, a truly timeless image is one that reflects the couple's unique love story. This could be a stolen moment of laughter, a tender embrace, or simply a look shared between the two.
Ultimately, the most important thing is to capture the essence of their relationship.
Was ist das originellste Foto, das du bei einer Hochzeit je gemacht hast?
Given the variety of weddings I've photographed, it’s hard to pick just one “most original” photo. Every culture and location brings unique opportunities for capturing incredible moments.
I often find myself imagining a particularly striking image, like a candid shot of a couple sharing a private moment against the vast Chilean desert. Or perhaps a photo capturing the raw emotion of a couple exchanging vows during a traditional Bulgarian ceremony.
Of course, these are just ideas. Every wedding has its own magic, and the most original photos often surprise me.
Was empfiehlst du für eine regnerische Hochzeit?
As I heard for the first time in Italy, in a wedding in Trieste, "Sposa bagnata, sposa fortunata."
Wie bist du zur Fotografie gekommen?
My journey into photography was deeply influenced by my background in architecture and visual arts. The keen eye for composition and spatial relationships I developed as an architect naturally transitioned into my photographic practice. Initially, I was drawn to the static beauty of buildings and landscapes, but a growing fascination with human interaction and cultural diversity led me to explore the dynamic world of documentary photography.
Weddings, as microcosms of society, offered an unparalleled opportunity to delve into the heart of different cultures and communities. The interplay of architecture, human emotion, and ritual provided an endless source of inspiration. As I began photographing weddings around the world, I realized that my architectural training was a valuable asset in capturing the spatial and aesthetic dimensions of these events.
