Weddings at UBC Botanical Garden

UBC Botanical Garden is an internationally recognized wedding venue, enjoying a high reputation and popularity among couples who want a natural wedding ambiance.

Reception-only venues, such as Roseline Sturdy Amphitheatre and Nitobe Memorial Garden are available for rent in the venue’s specified timeslots.

UBC Botanical Garden allows you to choose your wedding caterer, decorator, liquor provider and other vendors. Due to the special character of these locations, specific guidelines are in place.

For example, all catering equipment must be removed after the event or you risk losing a portion of the damage deposit. The booking coordinator at UBC Botanical Garden offers recommendations for catering.

You are required to obtain a permit from Metro Vancouver authorities for weddings with alcohol service and to pay a S.O.C.A.N. fee to authorize the use of music.
