Tofino Resort + Marina

Went on a fishing excursion and a trip to the sauna with my wife a few days after our wedding. Captain Derian was a wealth of fishing knowledge and had us coming home with a respectable haul for the day, 3 salmon and 2 rockfish amongst plenty more catches we couldn’t keep for the day. All staff was very professional and helpful, the resort has everything there is to offer in the area. If you’re looking for a one stop adventure shop for the region, this is the place!

We held out wedding in the upper hatch. We were the first event here since Shelter has taken over the restaurant. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. Matt was our boots on the ground, he was absolutely fantastic at organizing everything. The folks from shelter did a wonderful job on the menu and dinner. The next day we came back and did a whale watching tour with Howie and it was absolutely incredible. King suite was spacious and bright. Room was super clean and well stocked.

Wow (the good kind)! My fiancée and I booked a tasting/tour with Matt at the Tofino Resort & Marina as a prospective location for our wedding. First, the Marina/inlet part of Tofino is incredibly beautiful, and is a must-visit. Second, the entire team at Tofino Resort & Marina (as well as 1909 Kitchen and The Hatch) were friendly, professional and made us feel like a part of the family. Third, the food was simply outstanding - flavours, presentation and styling.

Our wedding was held here in the space of the Upper Hatch. With Shelter recently taking over the restaurant we were not disappointed with the delicious food and outstanding service from all staff. Matt, the events manager, was amazing throughout the entire process. He always answered our questions in a timely fashion, assisted in the big and small details. He also checked in multiple times during the big day. My groom surprised me with a whale watching tour the next day.

We absolutely love the Tofino Resort and Marina!!! We first stayed at the Resort in October 2020 and got engaged over our stay there. The Resort found out through a friend who called to send a gift and the resort sent over a thoughtful card, sparkling wine and chocolate. It was unexpected and very kind! We booked our wedding reception at the Upper Hatch Event Centre above 1909 and the Hatch in August 2022 and were blown away.
