This Alberta romantic wedding venue has several function spaces for intimate gatherings and midsize wedding reception. You can organize an outdoor wedding reception in the chilly mountain air and scenic Tunnel Mountain as a backdrop, or say I do in one of the rustic rooms indoors.
1. Wapiti Longhouse: Two-level room with a capacity of 50 to 99 people, that can accommodate a DJ and dancing reception
2. Strathcona Room - Features include an outdoor patio and in-room bar, hosts 70 people, and only I-pod music or playlist as musical background is available
3. Wainwright Room - Excellent for intimate receptions with a maximum of 48 people, features breathtaking views of Cascade Mountain, no possibility for a DJ or dancefloor
Additional Facilities
With the reception space at Buffalo Mountain Lodge, you can also book the Tunnel Reservoir, stunning meadows for a wedding photo session. In addition, there is also an option to book a Powder suite to use during the wedding day or the night before.

Wapiti longhouse is an amazing venue! The food was incredible for the wedding as well as the Prow. I have been quite a few times and have never had a bad experience with food. Some rooms are a bit outdated but I prefer these than the updated ones. Make sure your room has a bath, balcony and fridge when booking and you'll be set. It's across the street from tunnel mountain reservoir which is beautiful. We had our wedding here and could not have asked for a better place. Wapiti longhouse is an amazing venue! The food was incredible for the wedding as well as the Prow. I have been quite a few times and have never had a bad experience with food. Sonia and her team did everything possible to make it the best day ever, and it was truly that! Our guests are still raving about the food - especially the beef dish we had as our plated option! It was sooo tender and flavourful. The service was incredible, and of course the hotel itself was stunning. Thank you so much Sonia and team!
