The venue hosts ceremonies for all couples regardless of their sexual orientation, faith and gender. Located next to the Bates Family Orchard, Bates Barn has gorgeous views of the Belleisle Bay.

This modern rustic wedding venue is located in the Southern New Brunswick region on the shores of Belleisle Bay. Therefore, in addition to the country farmside vibe, Bates Barn provides a beach setting with sparkling waters in the background.
Ceremonies at Bates Barn overlook the water and offer nearby beaches for stunning photo opportunities.
The Barn is suitable for wedding receptions with over 175 seated guests. In addition to ground floor seating, the Barn features an elevated Mezzanine overlooking the dance floor.
Overall, the spacious Barn gives rustic vibes and elegant details, with it's majestic wood structure, exposed beams, white tables and chairs and subtle lighting.
The Barn features indoor climate control and a custom-built bar.
Additional Facilities
Bring your favourite caterer for your dream wedding, and host a casual or formal dinner without the venue’s restrictions. The caterer can use dedicated private supplier access and equipped kitchen for meal prep and serving.
Bates Barn also has a range of facilities to simplify the wedding organization. Wedding arch, dancefloor, tables and chairs, Wi-Fi and shower facilities are available.
For guest convenience, there is an option for log house rental and on-site campsites. This Long Point venue is easily accessible via land or water, and nearby there are plenty of attractions.

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
All of our weddings are extra special but one did stand out for our venue and team. During Covid a bride was searching for a venue where she and her finance could get married with their three daughters, family & friends by their side. She was in stage 4 cancer. Our preferred vendors willingly stepped up and we gave them their dream wedding at no charge to them. Six months later she passed away. This wedding holds so many special moments for us.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
If something doesn't go as planned, only you know. Don't stress over the small stuff.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
During the Father/Daughter dance there was a slide show on their family; Mother/Son dance there was a slide show on their family.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
The barn has majestic views of the Bay from all locations. A number of couples utilize the Apple Orchard on site for photos.

All of our guests & couples are celebrities in our minds. We have had couples & guests from across Canada, USA, Europe and beyond
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Pizza! The local Pizza Shack is 15 minutes away. Food truck vendors are also available for catering and/or late night snacks.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
It's beauty inside with its majestic beams and of course, location overlooking the beautiful Belleisle Bay. Imagine exchanging your vows with sailboats passing in the summer months. The changing seasons give picturesque views as the leaves and weather changes.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
How we have overcome the tragic loss of the original Bates Barn in 2017 due to arson and built a new, Modern Rustic Venue that is not only majestic and beautiful but has become one of the most sought after venues in Southern NB.
