The Carrington Hotel

They've spent a fortune on bringing this place up to speed: rich carpets, stunning paintwork, lovely beds, classy period furniture, solved the "shared bathroom" issue by dividing the bathrooms into individual, self-contained - and quite lovely - suites, one for each room (and the more expensive rooms have bathrooms en suite). I guess if you want to shave you'll have to ask at reception, because the bathroom sinks are innocent of plugs. The window in our room was missing a sash-cord...

The holiday was to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome with several little “touches” to make the occasion event more special. We can’t thank hotel management and staff enough for their supreme efforts. Highly recommended and would travel and stay there again without any doubt.

Beautiful old hotel. Was a guest at a wedding here, and it was an absolutely beautiful venue with good food and attentive staff. Could do with some polish to bring it up to a really high standard, but this hotel does not disappoint.

When my husband and I first started dating, he took me to the Blue Mountains Ukulele Festival at the Carrington Hotel (this was in 2018). The moment I started walking up the drive-way, I knew this is where I wanted us to get married (if indeed I was the one!).
