Firstly the staff could not be better, so polite and helpful. They made everyone feel special, not just the bride and groom. Now the food, the nibbles were fantastic with a great variety. Then came dinner, everything was prepared and presented well, the flavours and quality of the produce was amazing. Lamb, duck and chicken were cooked to perfection. So thank you very much for making the whole day a special one for everybody.We had our daughters wedding here and I can only say exceptional. The grounds are large and beautiful and there are lots of different locations and backdrops which makes it really interesting in photos. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
We’ve been lucky to host so many incredible weddings at our venue, and it’s amazing to see each couple bring their own unique vision to life. Of course, I might be a little biased and say my own wedding here was my favourite but a close second has to be a wedding last year that used fresh fruit as centrepieces with simple florals. Each guest had different coloured wine glasses and gold cutlery, the venue was styled to perfection and the bright colours worked wonders against our bluestone building the colours were fabulous, the vibe was so fun, and it was such a creative touch!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
It can all seem so stressful planning a wedding but at the end of the day the big picture is you saying I-DO, as soon as you get engaged everyone has opinions to share write them down and think about them but don't make promises unless you really love them. It all comes together, and you will have the best day.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We had a wedding, and the bride was an artist, she had drawn all her signage with a beautiful character that represent her and her now husband, she made beautiful menu cards and name cards all to match this and it was stunning. You see many name cards get left behind, but this particular wedding didn't have many left behind.

Romantic, Picturesque, Charming, Versatile and Memorable
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
This sounds crazy but our driveway is actually very stunning, it is lined with stunning trees that when they are full in the summer create vibrancy, in the autumn when they start to colour change and drop leaves makes for stunning pictures as well as fun photos and in the winter although they are sticks, they photography beautifully. The next 2 best spaces are our historic baby arches that we have sourced from Darling harbour or underneath our large willow tree because who doesn't love a meet me under the willow tree moment.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Not as of yet but we wouldn't say no to having a celebrity wedding.
What’s your favourite canapé?
I don't get to try many of the canapes as I am normally bust setting up the reception space, but my staff say our chefs' sliders are always a large hit! they are always sad there isn't leftover for them. I personally love a good pork belly bite with a crispy top, and house made apple sauce, the flavours and textures are top notch.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Honestly who doesn't love a late-night piece of wedding cake? we serve the wedding cake on the bar so people can come and grab pieces as they are dancing the night away. Always makes for a great treat and a great use of the wedding cake.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Our gardens are really second to none with so many stunning colours. Honestly this is a venue that you could do next to no styling, and it still would look beautiful. You feel like you escape the world even when we are right near houses and town.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
I'm so proud of the goals myself and my team accomplish we work so well together which helps make for a great night for the couple. My team and I are also very good at problem solving so 9 times out 10 if there is an issue the couple don't even know because we are so quick to solve them.
