Montgomery Hall is a majestic, heritage-listed functions venue in Mount Claremont. Originally built in 1904 as a dining hall and theatre for the adjoining hospital, this stunning building has been meticulously restored, transformed and modernised to create a truly unique and versatile venue for weddings. You greet your guests in the sheltered reception courtyard before inviting them to experience the breathtaking grandeur of a century-old ballroom brimming with history and character. Montgomery Hall seats up to 150 people in spacious, uninterrupted luxury. Available amenities include The Bridal Room which has private dressing areas and beauty stations, and space to relax in the undercroft of the original theatre stage; and a fully-equipped modern service kitchen for your caterers. The Grand Ballroom The magnificent ballroom with its soaring 9-metre-high ceiling and glittering crystal chandeliers has a vast, uninterrupted seating area of 27 metres by 15 metres. The building’s original and impressive heritage features have been authentically restored and retained, while subtle hues of white, gold and grey highlight the main body of the hall. The gently-raked original stage has been fully restored to its former theatrical glory. It features a dramatic 5.5-metre-high proscenium arch and centre opening curtain making it ideal for your wedding. The stage has a trussed lighting system and the Hall’s 24 windows can be easily blacked out using motorised blinds. The venue with its acoustic-panelled walls is equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual technology and specialised themed house and stage lighting. A choice of Event Partners.
