With its charming architecture and outstanding outdoor facilities, Josef Chromy Wines is a magical wedding venue in Launceston, northern Tasmania. Key highlights of this venue are the lakeside pavilion, romantic gardens and a modern reception restaurant offering delicious food and wine.

Lakeside Ceremony at Josef Chromy Wines

Exchange vows in the gorgeous pavilion at the lake, offering weather protection and beautiful photo opportunities. The pavilion also has an outdoor bar, perfect for garden cocktail hour and post-ceremony toast. 

The pavilion can host 50 – 60 people for a ceremony on a rainy day. If you have many more guests, you can rent a marquee to accommodate all of them. T

Ceremonies at Josef Chromy Wines can begin at 3.30 pm, but you get access to the pavilion from noon for setting up.

Reception at Josef Chromy Wines

After your marriage officially starts, Josef Chromy Wines staff will escort your guests into a beautiful indoor reception space with floor-to-ceiling windows, a cosy atmosphere and stunning views of the vineyards.

The space can seat up to 150 people for a gourmet dinner with 4 long tables. If you choose alternative seating layouts with round tables and bridal tables capacity decreases. The venue has minimum spending requirements for peak season and off-season weddings.

Reception at Josef Chromy Wines includes:

• Exclusive use of the dining room with your chosen setup and black or white linen
• Gift and cake table
• Personalised menu
• Wine barrel lectern, microphone
• Easel
• Dancefloor
• Decoration placement
• Expert advice with menu planning, timeline and wine selection

For the wedding meal, choose between share-style, 2, or 3-course alternate drop menu, and 3- or 4-course premium decadent degustation. Each option includes three canapés per person upon arrival, bread and butter, cake cutting and plating and a classic beverage package.

Premium packages feature your choice of two dishes per course, created from high-quality locally sourced ingredients. Decadent degustation is a bespoke food combination designed for your wedding to include the best, seasonal dishes.

Josef Chromy Wines has a list of optional menu upgrades, such as:

• Roaming oysters
• Oyster station
• Cheese and charcuterie station
• Dessert canapés
• Late night snack
• Individually served cake

Beverage packages, classic and premium, available for five hours after the ceremony, can be extended for an additional hour. Cocktail hour and champagne tower for the toast after the ceremony are charged separately.
