Camp Sunnystones

The Setting

Sunnystones is a 50 acre property bordering the Long Forest Nature Conservation Reserve. We enjoy uninterrupted views of the forest, including many varieties of wildflowers, mallee trees and box gums.

We have a large space just down the valley from the homestead which is perfect for the wedding ceremony and/or reception. The setup can be customised to your liking, and vehicle access means it is possible for an array of personalised choices!

The Homestead

An architecturally designed stone building that has a large dining area suited for a formal sit down wedding or a cocktail style party. It is serviceable by our commercial kitchen, which can be utilised by caterers of your choice. The dining hall can seat up to 80 guests for a sit down meal or up to 150 for a stand-up cocktail style wedding. 

The Lawn

At the end of 2021 we had a double levelled area excavated and turfed perfect for marquee's or glamping tents! The space is 35 metres x 25 metres looking out to Mt Macedon and the Long Forest Flora and Fauna Reserve. There is also a fire pit and seats on the bottom level for a relaxing afternoon hangout.

What's included

Rooms

There are 9 rooms at Camp Sunnystones, sleeping a total of 90 guests! Most have ensuite bathrooms, others have separate bathrooms alongside. The beds include a white sheet, pillow and pillow case. Please check out our room allocation form here and our floor plan here.

Bathrooms

There are 9 toilet bathrooms at Camp Sunnystones. Bath mats are provided in bathrooms

Dining Hall

The dining hall can seat up to 100 guests, but is just as comfortable with a small group. Tables and chairs can be added/removed to make up the perfect setting for you and your wedding guests. Plus, dining tables can be arranged differently (such as a horseshoe shape, straight line etc.) depending on your preference. The dining hall is also a great space for wedding functions!

Kitchen

The kitchen houses a commercial oven / stove / fridges / freezers / automated large scale dishwasher-sanitizer! Plus a huge array of mix and match crockery, cutlery, baking equipment, plus all of the usual's - microwave, toasters etc. This makes it easy for both Catered and Self-Catered weddings! We understand that food is a major part of any stay, and we really enjoy making sure your needs are met, whatever they may be.

Fireplaces

We have three fireplaces inside, including one large spherical fireplace in the dining area. In addition, there are three outdoor firepit areas (including seating). Everybody loves a marshmallow on the fire! Two barrels of wood are also provided on the veranda for your stay. A definite highlight on your wedding.

Electricity

For power options we do have power in the building but do recommend a generator for outdoor power and for any additional third parties such as Dj's, food trucks and marquee lights.
