We had our wedding here in November and it was perfect. We wanted somewhere that was going to make the experience relaxing and easy and honestly, the Mess Hall - and particularly Luke Shann - could not have been better. Our wedding was the first out of the most recent lockdown, so we met with Luke just after we re-opened and a couple of weeks before the date and he made everything a breeze and so much fun! The food, the house wine and the beer were all GREAT.

After a failed attempt to have our 2020 wedding at the Mess Hall due to Covid, we were lucky enough to celebrate our belated wedding reception there a year later (March 2021) and we are sooooo glad we did! Superstar Luke (who even matched his eye makeup to our colour scheme) and his team took care of absolutely everything, the venue was setup beautifully, everything looked amazing and we had nothing at all to worry about.

Just had our wedding here! Venue is absolutely stunning, food and drink were amazing and all guests had an amazing time. Venue coordinator Amy Wood was disappointing as we originally booked the venue with the previous manager Luke. Amy was not friendly, abrupt and challenging to deal with. We noted a few things that staff did under her watch including security letting people in who were not wedding guests, a stolen bouquet and the bride and groom cupcakes taken.

Thinking of getting married? I couldn't recommend BMH as a venue more, not just because of the gorgeous place itself or the delicious food, but also because of their FABULOUS functions coordinator, Luke, who was an absolute delight to deal with. Having a COVID affected wedding was hard, but throughout the whole process of can we?, can't we?, no we can't! and finally WE CAN, Luke was there to listen to me whine, answer my questions and make sure my husband and I had our DREAM WEDDING.
