Wedding Spaces at Welcome to Thornbury

This unique wedding venue has spaces for ceremony and reception for various size weddings:

The Greenhouse: Stylish space for ceremonies and receptions, features industrial vibes, plenty of natural light and space for the dance floor; capacity: 400 guests cocktail-style, 180 people sit-down
The Showroom: The room on the front end of the venue has a private entrance, stage, bar, PA system, and microphone; floor-to-ceiling glass sliding door can divide the room into two smaller rooms for intimate receptions or ceremonies; capacity: 200 guests cocktail-style, 60 people sit-down
The Arcade: Casual space with the most extensive arcade games collection in Melbourne; can be a part of custom packages for guest entertainment.
The Deck: Semi-private area is ideal for post-ceremony gatherings, and features a retractable roof and outdoor heaters for use year-round; capacity: 20-65 guests.
The Courtyard: Alfresco area for a casual gathering, features a mix of high garden tables, bar stools and bench seating

Welcome to Thornbury is also available for complete and exclusive venue hire, for large-scale events with up to 1,500 guests.

Welcome to Thornbury, which offers in-house catering through customisable packages with finger food, banquet menus, and convenient add-ons.

Welcome to Thornbury's wedding menu includes customisable canapé combinations of standard and substantial items. Options include:

Canapé : 5-7 canapé selections.
Combined: 5-7 canapés with 2 substantial items.
Variety: Hot and cold items, encompassing beef, chicken, vegetarian, and seafood options.
Platters: Available for larger servings, containing either 20 canapes or 20 substantials

The Banquet menu is available in two combinations:

Banquet 1: includes 2 small dishes, 2 main dishes, and 3 sides.
Banquet 2: includes 3 small dishes, 3 main dishes, and 3 sides, with a lamb main option incurring an additional fee.

The menu features a variety of dishes, including seafood, meats, vegetarian and vegan options, and a selection of sides. In addition, lamb, except rolled pork loin, whole roasted chicken and slow-braised osso bucco.

Welcome to Thornbury offers a selection of menu package enhancements, such as:

Grazing table and boards
Cheese and antipasto
Mixed dessert
Kids meal

Beverage packages at Welcome at Thornbury complement the food and enhance the atmosphere. There are three packages: basic, upgraded and premium, available for 3, 4 and 5-hour service.

Additionally, you can upgrade bar service with cocktails, mocktails and extra non-alcoholic drinks.

My son got married there. Emotional charged afternoon and evening. Amazing experience (I'm biased but I don't care). Food was above average, drinks (free bar) were flowing, music was playing and dancing until your docks dropped off. No idea what it costMy son got married there. We had our wedding in The Greenhouse last month and it was a dream! The venue is absolutely beautiful. The space is so open, bright and rustic. Anna is an incredible event coordinator - from planning meetings, to tastings, returning emails & answering our questions, Anna and the team helped us to curate a relaxed, fun and seamless day that we will remember fondly always. The food was delicious (double glazed pork belly was a hit!), the drinks were flowing and we were stress free [...]We had our wedding in The Greenhouse last month and it was a dream! Me and my partner recently had our wedding at The Greenhouse at Welcome to Thornbury. We were so impressed by the venue and the whole booking process. The venue itself is stunning, very spacious and the food is delicious. We opted buffet style and all our guests loved it. The staff, especially Annaleise and Isabelle did so much for us in the build up to the wedding and on the night, making it so breezy to plan the wedding. We appreciate all the efforts they both put into it [...]Me and my partner recently had our wedding at The Greenhouse at Welcome to Thornbury. My husband and I recently had our wedding in the Greenhouse at Welcome To Thornbury. It was seriously an absolute dream to organise! Working with Anna, our Event Sales Manager, the process was smooth and uncomplicated. She answered all of our questions and worked with us to develop the event run sheet. All staff working our event knew exactly what was happening and we didn’t have to lift a finger or think about anything, we could just focus on enjoying ourselves with friends & fam. We had our wedding here, and the staff were very accommodating! Annaleise was wonderful to work with in coordinating our big day. She was always reachable in the lead-up to the event to answer any questions we had, and the whole process was very smooth. We did a few non-traditional things, and they were more than happy to help facilitate our bar ceremony, as well as our board game night at the end. Our puzzle hunt/escape room also fit perfectly into the space, [...]We had our wedding here, and the staff were very accommodating! Annaleise was wonderful to work with in coordinating our big day.
