There are various wedding venues within the DGR that cater for groups from 125 to 250 wedding guests. Although they share the common “in the bush” setting the owners of these venues have created truly amazing facilities to embrace the bush atmosphere that has become a popular choice for such events. Although the venues may offer less accommodation than the number of guests there is generally alternative accommodation at nearby lodges enabling your guests to linger and stay over to enjoy a little more time in the reserve. Kwalata Game Lodge With over 20 years of experience, Kwalata has established itself as a leading bushveld wedding venue. A unique stone and thatch roof church provides a special place for the wedding ceremony. This church can accommodate 250 guests and is judged to be one of the best in South Africa. Lovely gardens around the church make it ideal for photo sessions. A game drive to the veld also provides that once in a lifetime bushveld and sunset photo opportunity! Kwalata has three venues for the marriage ceremony. The Chapel – Stone and thatch, and an open River Church and Tree Church. Capacity - 250 People.
