This unique venue within Belfast’s beloved Botanic Gardens is the epitome of city centre cool – it’s teeming with dramatic spaces and exquisite collections of art and history, for the chicest of wedding celebrations. The Ulster Museum is the most breath-taking and contemporary of blank canvases. From unforgettable ceremonies to dazzling celebrations, this place has it all.
Your ceremony
The lovingly restored Belfast Room is one of the Ulster Museum’s original gallery spaces, dating back to 1929. It can accommodate up to 100 guests for intimate ceremonies, and wedding feasts for 60 guests. It has its own private entrance hall, allowing you to arrive in style and can host up to 150 for a drinks reception.
If you are having a larger ceremony our Lecture Theatre is available for Humanist or Religious ceremonies of up to 150.
Your reception
Invite up to 150 guests into the spectacular setting of The Atrium where they will enjoy a memorable evening, surrounded by some of the most iconic pieces from our national collection. You and your guests will have exclusive use of the museum after 5pm. The Atrium is a stunning stage for your entertainment, with plenty of space for dancing and mingling. We only accept one wedding a day, ensuring that you have our undivided attention throughout.
