The Hospital of St Cross

The Church is a large and very beautiful Norman building nearly 900 years old. It has been recently restored and has a strong, serene importance about it that makes it a powerful place to be married. It is licensed for Church of England ceremonies and is in the main courtyard of St Cross. The Master or one of the Priests licensed to the Parish of St Faith will conduct the ceremony. There are other associated costs with a Church of England wedding in addition to the Hospital of St Cross fees. Our convenient position in Winchester, the Cathedral city of Hampshire, makes us the perfect location for anyone looking for a countryside venue only 60 miles from London. Winchester Station is on the fast train to London and Heathrow Airport is easily accessible by road. Prices start from as little as around £1,500 plus VAT for the use of the church, with additional costs depending upon the reception venue you choose. For a ceremony and a sit-down meal, we can house a maximum of 200 guests in a marquee, up to 200 in the Master’s Garden, or smaller numbers in the Brethren’s Hall or the Hundred Men’s Hall if preferred.
