Buffini Chao Deck is a stunning events venue located on the roof of the iconic National Theatre. Offering breathtaking panoramic views across London, The Buffini Chao Deck combines a riverside outdoor terrace with a large flexible event space. The building is wrapped in glazed panels which can be retracted on warmer days, so the uninterrupted view is preserved no matter the weather. Every detail is yours to define and our dedicated wedding venue hire team will be on hand before and during your big day to bring your dream city wedding to life, making it an experience that you and your guests will remember forever. Your wedding will benefit from state-of-the-art lighting and AV which has been specially designed and installed by the National Theatre’s Sound and Lighting departments, allowing you to tailor the atmosphere, from intimate low lighting to a vibrant party. The Buffini Chao Deck is licensed for weddings, with London’s skyline and the Thames riverscape providing the perfect setting to say ‘I do’. The space is able to cater for up to 100 people for a seated ceremony followed by dinner and dancing. We can host up to 200 standing guests. Couldn't recommend the Buffini Chao Deck more! We picked this location for our reception as we had a large number of international guests fly in, and the views of London from the Southbank are unparalleled. Matilda was our coordinator and she went above and beyond from the jump- from food tasting, setting up the space and answering any questions, we felt she was there for us throughout. The food was delicious, we opted for a combination of canapes and KERB street food to suit all guests.Couldn't recommend the Buffini Chao Deck more! Couldn’t recommend enough! We had the most perfect wedding reception at the venue! Great food and drinks packages. And the team were super flexible to accommodate any requests. Where do I even begin? This was honestly the most perfect venue we could have chosen for our wedding. Everything was so well organised and thought through down to the tiniest detail. The food was absolutely wonderful, the service for both food and drinks was flawless, and the whole day ran seamlessly. And then the party afterwards — unforgettable! I just wish we could do it all over again. Thank you so much for making our day everything we dreamed of and more 💕✨Where do I even begin? I can’t help but have a huge smile on my face every time I pass the National Theatre on my commute knowing it’s the place all our loved ones gathered to celebrate our marriage. We were truly looked after by the whole team, especially Isla who made it the most seamless and stress free experience. We still get comments from guests bout the impeccable service, incredible views, and wow factor of the venue.I can’t help but have a huge smile on my face every time I pass the National Theatre on my commute knowing it’s the place all our loved ones gathered to celebrate our marriage. Isla and her team were wonderful in hosting our wedding. They’re wonderful at communication, and have a lovely energy. The food was incredible, which they set up a tasting for us so we could pick what was right for us. The venue itself is gorgeous and we got to use different parts of the National Theatre, so our wedding had plenty of variety. They made, what was a complicated day, feel so easy. Our wedding was the best day of our lives, and they made it unforgettable! Isla and her team were wonderful in hosting our wedding. They’re wonderful at communication, and have a lovely energy. Fantastic experience with the National Theatre from start to finish. The events team were incredible, supportive, professional and went above and beyond. The day was hit by a massive thunderstorm; they adapted seamlessly, the day still ran like clockwork and they calmed our frayed nerves. Our guests all commented on how amazing the venue was and the brilliant staff. The food in Lasdun was also to die for.Fantastic experience with the National Theatre from start to finish. The events team were incredible, supportive, professional and went above and beyond. The day was hit by a massive thunderstorm; they adapted seamlessly, the day still ran like clockwork and they calmed our frayed nerves. Part of the National Theatre where you can hold private events, meetings. Wonderful views over the Thames and City. Catering is excellent, good bar area plus good equipment for presentations if required. Staff were efficient, pleasant and very helpful.
