Our bespoke en-suite guest bedrooms each decorated in a boutique style provide accommodation along with our five enchantingly quirky Romany Caravans. From the first show round South Farm stood out, not only because of the stunning venue itself, but also because of the care and attention to detail that all of the team showed. Myself and husband booked a viewing and it was absolutely beautiful and everything we had wished for. The top staff and animals around the venue were the cherry on top of the cake. It was the first venue we looked at so we decided to look elsewhere to make sure we were making the right decision however, when viewing other venues we both walked away and kept saying south farm was our favourite. We booked a second show around with parents and they fell in love with the venue just like us and we knew it was the perfect venue! We attended the food tasting night which we were both very excited for as we are big foodies and the venue kept getting better and better the food was incredible! We had so many comments after the wedding from guests saying it was the best food they have had at a wedding! The staff were fantastic and listened to everything we wanted, nothing was too much. From our first meeting with the team, we felt confident that they would be able to make our day special for us, and they really delivered! The food was exceptional - we had a buffet and myself (bride) and two of our guests had our own special gluten/dairy free buffet so we wouldn't feel left out :) throughout the day our Wedding Coordinator continuously checked in with us to see how we were, if we needed anything and gave us our own platter of canapés! They also checked if we were cold when sitting at dinner (we weren't at all, but it was so nice to be so looked after). The breakfast the next morning was delicious - we had an Iranian table (sofreh aghd) set up the night before and the team very kindly set it back up for us in the dining area so we could enjoy it which was really thoughtful! And it was great to just debrief and spend even more time with our close family and friends. The grounds and rooms were all stunning, we loved every moment. I recommend South Farm to everyone. I saw South Farm online in 2024 but we did not get a chance to visit until the beginning of April this year. From the moment my husband and I looked around, we fell in love and snapped up a date that same weekend. The team at South Farm have been incredible throughout our journey. Evie showed us around and helped us plan our day. Emily kept in contact over email and made sure everything was on track and Helen was our on the day event manager. The entire team was super helpful in ensuring we had the perfect wedding day. Our wedding day ended up having the worst weather and we needed to make lots of last moment changes as a result. South Farm had already written a wet-weather alternative, but I think the sheer amount of rain was a shock to everyone. Helen worked with me to make sure we could still do everything which was important to me, such as our confetti toss. The staff also made sure I was completely covered by umbrellas when moving from the coach house suite to the Tudor barn for our ceremony. Our day turned out perfect and we were completely accommodated for. I have mobility issues and the staff made sure I was able to get everthing I needed and they worked with the registrars to ensure we could sit in the ceremony if I needed to. Additionally, Helen made sure to check in with us periodically to make sure we were happy and she was able to get us anything we needed or wanted. The food for both the wedding breakfast and the evening reception was heavenly. We opted for a 2 course hot buffet and there was more than enough food for everyone. Many of our guests went up for seconds and we received many compliments on the food. I was desperate to have beef for one of our main options, which was not on the hot buffet menu, but the team sorted this for us for a small surcharge. I am so glad this was able to happen. Finally, we had a large Connie and Colin the Caterpillar cake. I had made a veil and tophat for them but during transport from our house to the venue, they were misplaced. I was willing to go without them, but Helen, not wanting to disappoint, made sure we had a veil and top hat for our cakes. The staff sewed a napkin using chicken wire and they printed a top hat and added them to the cakes. They checked we were happy before we showed our guests and I honestly think they turned out better than my own. Helen and the staff went so above and beyond. We are so happy with how our day turned out and are so glad we picked South Farm. Our family and friends adored it and all of our guests who stayed in accommodation loved their rooms. The full english (served by Claire) was just what everyone wanted in the morning. The staff also cleared up our decorations overnight, making packing in the morning super smooth! Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Each and every wedding held here at South Farm is special and unique - we couldn't possibly choose! However there are so many special moments to share from weddings... we love the moments the bride shares with her bridesmaids before she walks down the aisle. The moment the groom sees his bride is always a favourite and we love the famous South Farm rose petal confetti shower after the ceremony!
We recently had a couple choose a song during their ceremony rather than a reading and all their guests joined them in a lovely rendition of ‘Stand By Me’ - such a special moment with everyone singing their hearts out!
And another firm favourite is when couples venture into our barnyard and have pictures with our super-cute little piglets! We also had a bride choosing to arrive to the ceremony on our Tuk Tuk, her father’s face was a picture of delight when he realised he was getting a spin on an authentic Thai Tuk Tuk before giving his daughter away!

Enjoy your special day! At South Farm you will have a dedicated Event Manager who will look after you and your guests on your Wedding Day meaning you can relax and just enjoy yourselves!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We have seen so many lovely ideas from a Vintage Fairground Carousel in our Courtyard to Duck Herding in the Gardens! All our couples are very welcome to bring their own ideas and add their own unique touches. We've had bouncy castles, festival-themed weddings, helicopters landing and couples bringing their dog to be ring-bearer or their own horse for post-ceremony photos!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
There are so many to choose from! The Monet bridge over the pond is a favourite, so is the tree-lined driveway lit up with fairy lights. The lovely blue front door of the main house is a perfect spot for confetti photographs and the Steam Engine is great for pictures too! We also love it when our couples have the photograph taken with our farm animals - piglets shots are the cutest!
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Yes! Though we are very discreet so our lips are sealed!
What’s your favourite canapé?
All of them are mini-morsels of deliciousness! If we had to choose a favourite it would be between the Chorizo & Sweet Potato Croquette served with Kimchi Mayo and Chilli & Orange Chicken Liver Pate served on roundels of Olive Oil Fried Bread but it's a tough choice and there are so many other delicious South Farm canapés we couldn't possibly choose just one!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
A sparkler photo in the courtyard followed by wedding cake and prosecco in the Coach House Suite for the happy couple!!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
We have a team of very talented chefs and all our catering is in-house. Our own smallholding supplies nearly all our vegetables, herbs, fruit and eggs whatever the season. We grow literally hundreds of vegetable varieties, with passion and care. It’s the key to our ultra-fresh, seasonal and organic wedding food menus. Couples can choose from a formal three course served menu or any one of a number of buffets including a sumptuous Fusion Feast, a Hog Roast like no other you ever tasted, a Hot Buffet with a great choice of menu options or the time honoured BBQ. Plus delicious salads of every variety. Prefer something else? That’s no trouble at all… Our chefs love to create new dishes so if you are looking for something that’s not on our standard menus just talk to us – we are very happy to be creative if you have your heart set on something special! Our range of diverse international dishes is extensive and meets all tastes and budgets and all our wedding food is cooked to the moment and beautifully presented.
We also offer complimentary Menu Tasting evenings to our couples who book a bespoke wedding. This is an opportunity for couples to see, taste and rate over 30 of our signature dishes and is a hugely helpful for couples choosing their menu for their big day.

Critical to our ethos, is our desire to achieve all this within a family-run, home-grown, eco-friendly environment. We aim to be as self-sufficient as absolutely possible with home-grown, seasonal food, grown using organic principles, headlining our delicious wedding breakfast menus, all lovingly created by our in house team of chefs and ensuring that the most important meal of our couples’ lives is a truly exceptional one.
