Slater's Country Hotel and Inn

Stayed for a couple of nights to attend a family wedding. What a delightful venue for a wedding. The staff were attentive without being obtrusive. The catering was outstanding: food delicious, served quickly and hot (a real knack, given the numbers). The event staff were incredibly professional, bar staff were just lovely and a special mention for Richard for keeping the morning coffee topped up ;)

“We had our wedding at Slater’s on 9th August and what can I say.... WOW! Our day was more than we could have ever imagined! Everything was so perfect! As a bride, I made all of my own centrepieces and decorations myself and I was worried about how the staff would present them on the day, but rest assured I was absolutely gobsmacked with the room when I walked in, they had presented everything beautifully and just how we wanted without making me feel like it was too much to handle. The food, the DJ and the pizza oven was spot on! We literally couldn’t fault anything! Special thanks to both Julie’s for all their efforts. Our day flowed beautifully and all our guests have commented how much they loved it too! Thank you so much to everyone at Slater’s! xxx”

We had the most amazing wedding day at Slater's Country Inn!! From day 1 of picking our date right up to the wedding everything went smoothly which is down to the amazing team working at Slater's. No question was too big or small and our wedding coordinator Julie was so helpful up to and including the wedding day. On the day Libby was amazing and made sure things were well organised and ran smoothly. The chef Gui and his team made us the most incredible wedding breakfast. All the guests have said his amazing everything was. All in all I would absolutely recommend!!

I would just like to say a few words regarding my daughter's wedding which was held recently. The accommodation and the surroundings were wonderful, as the day passed everything went accordingly and pleasantly well. From start to finish the whole day flowed like a melody, which was mainly due to the professionalism and dedication of the whole staff. The food was mouth-wateringly beautiful and the drinks service was second to none. I would like to thank all the staff as this day will last in my memory along with others for many years to come. Ince again, thank you for a wonderful experience.

Had our wedding here 2wks ago they couldn't have been more helpful from start to finish. As many couples we had to change date due to covid19 and they were fab with it all. The day was stress free had so many comments from guests how wonderful the day was.

It was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Brilliant service the staff were very helpful so polite! We couldn’t of asked for a better day. 100% recommend. It was beautiful.

I don’t honestly know how to articulate how perfect slaters were handling our special day. Myself and my wife knew it was the venue for us when we arrived to the wedding fayre, Julie was welcoming, friendly and helpful beyond words with all of our questions and worries. Once we had made it official and chosen a date it felt like we had been given an entire team to help plan our day, not just a venue, from helping with complicated family to awkward, last minute food allergies, nothing was too much trouble. We had originally planned an outdoor wedding but when they heavens opened 10 minutes before we were due to marry they moved it inside in minutes. Also a special Thankyou to Libby, who was there throughout the entire day to help us with any last minute hitches, from grabbing our guests attention when needed to fixing my dress, she truly was the cherry on top of a magical day. Every single one of our guests remarked on how fantastic the food was, and we are in agreement, it was amazing Basically, we don’t have a bad word to say about the entire day, the lead up, the venue and the staff were all perfect, from start to finish.
