Welcome to Orange Tree House where we specialise in making your wedding day one to truly remember.
Orange Tree House is a private wedding venue nestled on the shores of Strangford Lough in the pretty village of Greyabbey.
With the oldest parts being over 200 years old, the venue is steeped in history and has a wonderful atmosphere. The property has been lovingly restored and, should you choose to have your wedding here, you will be helping us to preserve this important building for future generations to enjoy
We believe in "Your day, your way". Whether you opt for a traditional, elegant wedding or take a more alternative approach, we will endeavour to accommodate your plans. We provide all of your catering, bar, furniture, tableware etc. so all you need to do is choose your date, menu and drinks then relax and enjoy your day.
As well as having the beautiful stone barn style banqueting room with its exposed beams at your disposal, you and your guests can enjoy the Orangerie with its open fire. You can sip a cocktail or two in our stunning guest lounge which overlooks Strangford Lough (a designated area of outstanding natural beauty) and onwards towards Whiterock Bay, with the Dromara Hills and the Mourne Mountains as a backdrop. Here you can also relax and enjoy the amazing sunsets, whatever the weather.
The function room can comfortably accommodate up to 130 guests for ceremonies and dinner with room for extra evening guests up to a total of around 160. We are also perfect for more intimate weddings with smaller guest numbers.
We have over 100 bed spaces within a 5 minute radius, many within walking distance and are located half an hour from Belfast.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Have the day that YOU want, and a checklist will be your best friend! Also don't be scared to reach out and ask questions or ask for help, that is what we're here for.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
There are so many lovely personal touches we've seen over the years, one that springs to mind is a table plan that consisted of envelopes for each guest with a special message for them.

What’s your favourite canapé?
Tough question as they are all mouth-watering....but if forced we would have to say our cocktail sausages in hoisin & sesame marinade, you could eat an entire bowl all by yourself!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Again it is very hard to choose, but you cannot beat some delicious pizza slices & chips! Especially when coupled with a cocktail or two....
What is your venue's most unique feature?
We're so lucky to be located right beside the lough so our views are incredible, and the beautiful barn style old church building with original features makes it the perfect location for your ceremony. It is incredible to think that you are following in the steps of couples from all those years ago who got married here, and you are contributing to the rich history of the building.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Our staff are the backbone of our business and we couldn't be where we are without them, they always aim to go above and beyond to try and make the run up to and your big day itself as seamless and stress free as possible. We are so grateful to have a brilliant team who are proud to be a part of the Orange Tree House family!
