We take care of all your catering, bar service, furniture and tableware, allowing you to focus on the excitement of planning and enjoying your perfect day.
Your wedding will unfold across our beautiful spaces, including our atmospheric stone barn-style banqueting room with its dramatic exposed beams and our elegant Orangerie with a cosy open fire. Guests can also unwind in our stylish lounge bar, which boasts panoramic views across Strangford Lough, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, towards Whiterock Bay, with the Dromara Hills and Mourne Mountains beyond. Our breathtaking sunsets provide a magical backdrop for your celebrations.
We comfortably accommodate up to 130 guests for your ceremony and wedding breakfast, with space for up to 160 guests in the evening, making Orange Tree House perfect for both larger celebrations and more intimate weddings.
With over 100 bed spaces within a five-minute radius, many within walking distance and just 30 minutes from Belfast, your guests will find it easy and enjoyable to stay and celebrate with you.

Michael who looked after us on the day made us feel like royalty. Nothing was too much for him. The venue itself absolutely amazing. The whole venue is yours, multiple rooms to chill in, plenty of outdoor space and the VIEW- right over the lough. Absolutely gorgeous gorgeous space. The food. Oh my goodness. Not may venues offer tasting menus anymore and this in itself was a fantastic experience. Then the food on the day, EVERY guest commented how it was the best wedding meal they've ever had. Honestly I do not have a single fault. And i am gagging for someone I know to get married so I get to experience this amazing venue again as a guest. 1000/10. The team is fantastic! Also shout out to Chelsea who was prompt with all replies to our queries, was super professional even during our times of stress. So hard to put into words how absolutely perfect our day was from start to finish. Michael who looked after us on the day made us feel like royalty. Nothing was too much for him. From the ease of viewing the venue, to discussions with Chelsea on what we wanted and what was possible, to the big day - everything was so easy and smooth, and we really felt listened to. The venue is beautiful, so well looked after and maintained, and the layout is perfect for that cosier feel for a wedding. On the day, Michael was absolutely incredible and we cannot thank him enough. He ran everything like a tight ship, nothing and no one was out of place and he kept us well informed throughout the day of what was going on, where we were expected to be and what would happen next. The food at the venue is absolutely delicious, the chefs are really an asset here - we were able to make changes and personalisations for some of the fussier eaters with no hassle and the chefs were so kind about it - nothing was too much effort for them. Our whole day with the venue was so smooth and it really made the atmosphere so much better knowing everything at Orange Tree was under control and we didn’t need to worry about anything. If you’re considering Orange Tree, I would highly recommend opting for this venue, and if not, please add it to your list!! The food was Michelin quality and was talked about for days after. The staff working that day where so attentive, friendly and hard working. Have the day that YOU want and a checklist will be your best friend! Also don't be scared to reach out and ask questions or ask for help, that is what we're here for.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
There are so many lovely personal touches we've seen over the years, one that springs to mind is a table plan that consisted of envelopes for each guest with a special message for them.

What’s your favourite canapé?
Tough question as they are all mouth-watering....but if forced we would have to say our cocktail sausages in hoisin & sesame marinade, you could eat an entire bowl all by yourself!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Again it is very hard to choose, but you cannot beat some delicious pizza slices & chips! Especially when coupled with a cocktail or two....

We’re incredibly fortunate to sit right beside Strangford Lough, where sweeping waterside views create a truly breathtaking backdrop for your wedding day. Our beautiful barn-style former church, with its original features and timeless character, offers a stunning and atmospheric setting for your ceremony.

Our staff are the backbone of our business and we couldn't be where we are without them, they always aim to go above and beyond to make the run up to and your big day itself as seamless and stress free as possible.
