Imagine a moated Tudor Hall set within a 400 acre deer park, with magnificent Grade 1 listed gardens as the backdrop to one of the biggest day of your life. Helmingham Hall Gardens is a truly picturesque venue for your ideal country wedding. We are fully licensed to hold civil ceremonies in The Great Hall or St Mary's Church is a short stroll away. Take full advantage of the gardens and surrounding parkland for your photos while your guests enjoy Champagne and canapés on the Parterre, before heading to a marquee in front of the Hall for the evening’s celebrations. Wedding ceremonies or blessings can also be held in the beautiful gardens and parkland, giving you more freedom and flexibility when planning your dream ceremony. Wedding Receptions Marquee wedding receptions in our 400 acre deer park are held adjacent to the magnificent Tudor Hall, just a short walk from the gardens. Your chosen structure – be it traditional or modern marquee, tipi or stretch tent – will be put up for your wedding to your exact specifications. With limited dates available per year, our marquee wedding receptions are a unique and exclusive way to celebrate your special day. As your guests sit down to the wedding breakfast, the views of the moated Hall, ancient oak trees and rolling countryside are truly second to none. There is no maximum limit to the number of guests you can have for your wedding breakfast, and your guests are also free to explore the gardens during the day.

Dream wedding....Dream wedding....
The exquisite setting of the vibrant, wild and charming gardens of Helmingham Hall was indeed the dream wedding we had always envisioned. Katy and Sam, welcomed us with friendly smiles and long chats in helping us navigate all of the sudden changes that took place during a time when weddings were cancelled. An unsettling time for a bride! Their kind and professional approach and trust in us and our vision was such a precious gift and shone brightly during so many unknowns. They are a true testament of how to handle pressure. Helmingham will captivate anyone’s heart with the majestic beauty of nature blooming in it’s full glory, as it entwines with the love and time of those that’s plant and shape the gardens. We went back to celebrate our two-year anniversary, with a picnic in the apple orchid; our dream continues. A big thank you to everyone at Helmingham Hall for being part of our story. My husband and I stumbled across Helmingham Hall as a wedding venue on the Hitched website soon after getting engaged. We thought straight away that it was a breathtaking venue due to the beautiful moated hall, set in wonderful gardens, and the surrounding area that happens to be a deer park! The venue itself is so unique and has so much character, given its fascinating history. The team at Helmingham Hall went over and above to make our day unforgettable. They also accommodated our wishes in terms of adding or changing things to the venue set up when requested. All our guests (some from abroad) were stunned by the beauty of the venue and said how charming the location was. For the 2 years while we were planning, Sam was there as a point of contact answering any questions we had and provided invaluable advice along the way. We also were briefly in contact with Katy, who was so kind and helpful. The immaculately maintained gardens and grounds really do speak for themselves! Katy was our Wedding planner, an active listener, thoughtfully turning our ideas into reality. Her friendly and professional communication keeping us informed in the weeks before the event. Approaching along the tree lined avenue gave a sense of occasion as we first arrived. The Hall reflecting in the moat setting the scene for a special day. Our ceremony took place in The Great Hall, a magnificent, historic and unique room with gravitas; its intimate atmosphere was perfect for our small gathering. A thoughtfully placed vase of flowers sat on a table. The fragrance of sweetpeas as we said our vows was lovely. A memory we often recall together. The gardens, cherished for generations and now in the hands of a Chelsea Flower Show winner, were a delight and pleasure to roam as a newlywed couple. We felt we had all the time in the world. We never thought we would have such a wondrous day. Helmingham Hall shared its charm. Our Wedding could not have been better and was truly even more than we ever hoped for. Even in the rain. From start to finish Sam and Katy were a delight to work with. They were both efficient, kind, friendly and made the whole process easy. We got married on 11 July 2020 during lockdown (we literally got the okay 4 days before the wedding) Even though we had covid restrictions and limited numbers to 15 - due to the extra work and kindness Of Katy & Sam - they day still felt magical and perfect. From start to finish Sam and Katy were a delight to work with. They were both efficient, kind, friendly and made the whole process easy.
