The recently completed Hidden River Barn has been designed to a rustic, modern industrial theme. The Barn can hold from 50-250 people and is very much in keeping with its beautiful surroundings. Our luxuary accomodation can be hired for your guests to stay and have a wonderful 2 or 3 day wedding experience. We pride ourselves on being a bespoke venue, your wedding day is exactly that - 'yours'. We will accommodate your ideas, creativity and inventiveness wherever we can. All of our beautiful log cabins and oak framed reception building and barn are licensed for your ceremony as is our new Hidden River Barn. We provide the catering and bar services for weddings and are able to tailor your menu to your requirements. We can offer a wide a range of catering options 3 x Course Meals, BBQ's, Hog Roasts etc. We do weddings during the week on a Tuesday and a Thursday. We celebrated our Wedding at Hidden River Barn on 31/05/2025, and honestly, it was everything we’d hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, there was this lovely sense of calm! A special shout-out has to go to Laura, our wedding coordinator, who was nothing short of wonderful. She was always right there when we needed her - somehow managing to appear at exactly the right moments, often with a much-needed drink in hand - yet never once felt imposing. She made the day feel effortless. The barn itself is an absolute beauty. Warm, rustic, and elegant all at once, with those incredible views over the river that make the whole day feel like a fairytale. Our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how stunning the setting was. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was relaxed and romantic, and every detail was handled with real care. We felt completely looked after from start to finish, and we’ll be forever grateful for how beautifully everything came together. If you’re considering Hidden River Barn… book it. Truly. Beyond our wildest dreams Beyond our wildest dreams
We got married here at the end of august 25. We cannot put into words how incredible our day was - it was beyond all expectations! Robyn was out coordinator and was absolutely incredible from start to finish- from the planning spreadsheet and check ins which made the planning process so easy! The in person check in with wine and menu tasting which was so lovely and our guests raved about the wine choices! To the big day; the support in setting up, checking in on us on the morning of, being a friendly face before walking down the aisle (even helping with my dress). The staff as a whole were incredible- so friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were unbelievable they were more than happy to make lemoncello spritz for all of our guests ❤️ a mention also for how well all the allergens were handled (including two nut allergies) all guests who had allergies have spoken of how well accommodated they felt! We ended up completely booking up the site’s accommodation which made it all the more special for us and everyone loved the accommodation allowing for them to relax ahead of the day and enjoy morning walks and even fishing! Also sitting in the hot tub under the a beautiful starry sky! We cannot thank everyone enough for making our day the most perfect imaginable 🤍🤍🤍We got married here at the end of august 25. As soon as we walked into the stunning barn we just knew we wanted to get married here! The whole place is just stunning! From beautiful surroundings, wonderful lodges and accommodation with views of the river. Everything about this place is just perfect! The staff are so helpful, nothing is ever too much from the minute we viewed the venue up until the day of our wedding they were just amazing! I would highly recommend Hidden river barn as a wedding venue. As soon as we walked into the stunning barn we just knew we wanted to get married here! The whole place is just stunning! From beautiful surroundings, wonderful lodges and accommodation with views of the river. Everything about this place is just perfect! The staff are so helpful, nothing is ever too much from the minute we viewed the venue up until the day of our wedding they were just amazing! My wife and I got married at Hidden River Barn in October 2024. We knew Hidden River was the place for us as soon as we entered the beautiful and tranquil grounds of the estate when we first visited it the previous year. It's always given us both that tingle of excitement and was the perfect physical incarnation of what we had hoped to find in a venue. And boy did it live up to what we had hoped it might be. Our guests were blown away by the magic of the place too. My wife and I got married at Hidden River Barn in October 2024. Getting married at Hidden River was the best decision we made! Venue: absolutely STUNNING. Everyone commented on how incredible the venue as a whole was. The barn is set out brilliantly so you can create different sections to suit your theme/guests. And the fact all guests can stay onsite is a huge bonus, the accommodation is beautiful. The surroundings speak for themselves, 100% recommend. Service: from start to finish the Hidden River team went above and beyond to make sure the day was more than we could have hoped for. They were always on hand, answered questions quickly, were very flexible and really helped with the organisation of everything! Laura was our coordinator and was INCREDIBLE! But everyone we spoke to was amazing. We can’t thank the team enough. Food: delicious! Loads of options and their timing with everything on the day was spot on. The fact they offered the same menu choices but in gluten free versions was amazing. Another really nice touch was when the canapés came out, they always came to us first to make sure we actually got to eat them! A remarkable placeA remarkable place
"As you walk around the Hidden River site, you get a real picture/sense of what your wedding could be – relaxed, at your own pace and a place where guests can unwind and leave their stresses behind for the weekend. Upon our first visit to the wedding venue, we were stunned at just how beautiful the entire site is. We helped ourselves to a coffee at the gorgeous and intimate Hidden River Café while every passing staff member greeted us with a warm welcome. We met with the owner Rob who kindly showed us around the entire wedding site. The accommodation is all built to an exceptionally high standard and warming/inviting. We quickly felt at ease and all of our questions were answered and reassurances were given, particularly as we had concerns over cancellation policies due to the pandemic. During the planning phase, we worked with the team (Gillian, Robyn and Laura) who answered our questions professionally and promptly. The team did everything to accommodate our requests (even left field requests such as renting shuffleboards) and it was a joy to plan with them. Laura became our dedicated wedding coordinator and invited us up to the Hidden River Barn for our first face-to-face planning and food/wine tasting session. At this point we began to work together on the formal wedding planning and documentation. Laura explained everything we needed to do in the run up to the wedding, discussed the timings of the day and provided advice on what works best (in her experience coordinating many weddings) to ensure flow throughout the day. We tried the Greek banquet sharer for our tasting and loved every bit of it. The quality of food was fantastic (something all of our guests subsequently complimented the venue on). We asked for one small amendment to the menu with the chef and an extra supplement from the Moroccan menu, both of which were deemed no trouble at all (though we felt cheeky asking!) giving us plenty of comfort. We continued to converse with the Hidden River team over the coming months to get all the final details, ad hoc requests and documents completed for the big day. Fast forward to the wedding weekend – just so happens that Storm Arwen decided to roll on through. We were greeted at the Café and decided to have lunch before setting up. The food was delicious. We were given access to the accommodation early. The fires had been lit to give the cabins warmth prior to our guests’ arrival (a lovely touch) with a personalised welcome instructional sheet for guests of our wedding who quickly began settling in. We decided on the ‘hidden river feast’ package for the weekend with burgers in the evening for guests at the Café on the Friday night. We enjoyed great food and great service throughout the evening. This is when things were starting to go wrong due to factors beyond anyone’s control! Storm Arwen was in full force. Some of our guests were unable to get to the venue due to fallen trees blocking the entrances/exits (and some motorways were being closed such as the A1). Two of our guests were unable to get back to their accommodation (which was offsite) as their taxi had not turned up. The staff at the cafe offered to drive them home. Where else would you get service like this? The staff took it upon themselves to do everything they could to help our stranded guests. The wedding day arrived. We woke up to no electricity at 6am due to the storm damage. We were given an emergency number to call for the venue, which was a direct line to Rob (the owner). We outlined the situation and the fallen trees that were blocking the path (after the father of the bride went investigating the damage). By 9am, Rob had rallied a team (with local farmers) to cut through the trees and move them off the road and sourced a backup generator, all so that our day could go ahead. Contingency planning at its finest. The venue and Laura worked directly with our suppliers and the registrar, explaining the best path (recently cleared) to enter the venue site (as satnav would have taken them to fallen trees). In such a unique set of circumstances, I have never seen such dedication, tenacity, teamwork and compassion as I did that day. From the top window of the Hidden River House, we saw Laura (our coordinator) literally climbing over large trees to be with us and tell us what was happening and the plan that was already in motion. The electricity came back on at 10am and our ceremony was only delayed by 45 minutes and the rest of the day went as scheduled. For the effort that we witnessed that day, my wife and I will forever be grateful to the entire Hidden River team. Our guests stayed on site for the full weekend and we were even gifted with a thick blanket of snow on the day after our wedding. Relaxing in the hot tub, surrounded by beautiful snowy scenery, was the perfect way to spend our Sunday. We also had a delicious 3-course roast dinner as a part of the weekend feast package. Hidden River is a stunning, unique venue and will forever have a special place in our hearts. We loved it from the moment we stepped foot on site, our journey from then on was seamless and our ending was the most perfect wedding day we could have hoped for. Many couples (us included) will look at multiple venues when planning their wedding and if you have any doubts about Hidden River… all we can say is don’t. How many people can say their wedding venue helped stranded guests get home, chopped down and even climbed over trees, sourced backup generators and supported all of your suppliers to save your wedding…. Had a great day, really relaxed and chilled, what we both wanted. All the guests had a great time, commenting that the food (bbq buffet and hog roast) was the best that they had had at a Wedding. We got married here at the end of September. It was STUNNING! Seriously it could not have been more perfect. Throughout the planning process the team here had been on hand to answer any questions we had and help us create the vision for our wedding. They pretty much gave us free reign in the cabin to decorate it ourselves. Which eventually gave us the foundation to set up our own business (Sawdust & Soul). I cannot than them enough for everything they did for us!We got married here at the end of September. It was STUNNING! Seriously it could not have been more perfect. Throughout the planning process the team here had been on hand to answer any questions we had and help us create the vision for our wedding. They pretty much gave us free reign in the cabin to decorate it ourselves. Which eventually gave us the foundation to set up our own business (Sawdust & Soul). We married here in March 2018. Gillian and the team were great, not even a blizzard disrupted things! Hidden River is perfect for an intimate wedding especially if you want something a little different. We couldn't fault it.We married here in March 2018.
