Brought to you by one of the UK’s most established wedding venue groups, Country House Weddings, Holmewood Hall is the newest venue to be added to a premium collection of beautiful exclusive-use wedding venues in the South of England. Spanning back over 25 years, CHW venues hold exclusively weddings and are exclusively yours for the day.
With a wealth of character and period features, Holmewood Hall can be found nestled away in the idyllic countryside of Cambridgeshire. Exclusive use of house and grounds allow for flawless photograph opportunities, or for winter weddings enjoy the variety of reception rooms, each with stunning features, within the house. You can enjoy a tipple in the Champagne Bar upon arrival before moving to the spectacular Gold Room, complete with its 50 ft-long golden aisle and feature fireplace, for a truly memorable wedding ceremony. The Bandstand is an idyllic outside ceremony setting for sunnier days. Dine in style in the Banqueting Hall with striking views across the lake, then party the night away in the Vault.
Finally, Holmewood Hall has 16 luxurious newly-renovated rooms, including the stunning Renaissance Honeymoon Suite, complete with dressing room and en-suite shower & bath - the perfect way to end your day.

The interior of the venue, with its 18th-century Tudor Gothic style, was beautifully presented. The ornate and luxurious rooms were spacious and comfortable, providing a perfect blend of elegance and relaxation. The grounds, spanning 10 acres of immaculate lawns, gardens, and parkland, were absolutely stunning, featuring a picturesque bandstand, a striking lake, and a charming outdoor bar. These beautiful grounds offered stunning views and ideal spots for photographs. Guilia, our wedding coordinator, was remarkable from start to finish. Her communication and organization were impeccable, and she was professional, accommodating, and attentive to every detail. On the day, the staff were equally impressive—attentive, courteous, and friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The evening disco was fantastic, and the DJ was brilliant. He reached out to us beforehand to personalise a playlist, which made the evening thoroughly enjoyable and tailored to our tastes. Overall, every aspect of our wedding was handled with care and excellence, contributing to an unforgettable celebration. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Our first wedding! It was held on the 15th June 2019 and it was a beautiful day which allowed for our couple to have some great photos outside. We served their guests with specially selected canapes by the couple with welcome drinks including summer Pimm’s and bottles of Budweiser beer. The weather was kind to them so they made use of our 10 acres of grounds to have some beautiful photos in.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Always utilise the experience of our fantastic Personal Wedding managers – they are there to be by your side throughout the whole planning process as well as your special day and no question is too silly to ask!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A family member ordered a bottle of prosecco and a plate of chocolate-dipped strawberries for their couple to enjoy the night of their wedding, this was delivered to their bedroom with a personalised note from the family member.

What is your venue's most unique feature?
The Balcony of our stunning Tudor Style Mansion, this is often used by our couples to get that perfect shot, have a royal wave moment to their guests or even for the bride to throw her bouquet from!
What part of your business are you most proud of?
We offer an excellent all-inclusive wedding package which we are most proud of, with so much included - it is designed especially for our couples to include everything they may require for their special day.
