The Barn at Upcote hosts Cotswold barns surrounding a country garden courtyard offer the perfect canvas to design a day that reflects you both. Our experienced, professional team are here to help you through the wedding planning process from start to finish, and to create a unique day packed full of memories.

Our standard venue hire rate covers everything you need from a venue perspective. This includes the following:
- Exclusive use of the Barns (Threshing Barn, Grain Store, Sheep Shed, Cart Lodge) for your wedding day from 10am to end of the evening
- Exclusive use of the venue grounds
- For your couple photographs, use of the secret garden, surrounding fields and woodland area
- Professional and experienced wedding coordinators to help you throughout the planning process and on the day itself, including set up and takedown
- Use of the Hay Barn Cottage on your wedding day from 11am (for getting ready) and including the night of the wedding to the following morning, with complimentary continental breakfast
- Furniture including chairs and tables (trestle or round tables)
- No corkage on your drinks reception, wedding breakfast and toast drinks, so you can bring these in for your caterers to serve!
- Ceremony set up – The Barn at Upcote doesn’t charge you extra if you would like to have your ceremony onsite (remember you will need to pay the registrars / church if you book these!)
- Fully stocked and staffed bar which accepts cash, card, contactless and Apple payment
- Fairy light curtain in the Grain Store and fairy lights on the beams in the Sheep Shed (Bar)
- Speakers to play your music during the day and PA system for your speeches
- Removal of your decorations to a handy storage area for you to collect the next morning
- Firepit with wood for that evening cosy feel, perfect for toasting marshmallows!
- VAT is included in our rates

Your hire of The Barn at Upcote covers:
- Exclusive use of the Barns (Threshing Barn, Grain Store, Sheep Shed, Cart Lodge) and venue grounds of top lawn and English country garden courtyard for your wedding day from 10am to 12midnight
- Use of our Secret garden, fields and woodland for your couple photographs
-Our professional and experienced dedicated wedding team to help you from initial enquiry through to the morning after
- Our venue staff to help coordinate your wedding day behind the scenes, including setting up and taking down your decorations so you can thoroughly enjoy your day!
- Ceremony set up (we don't charge you extra if you would like to have your ceremony onsite)

- Underfloor heating throughout the venue, gazebos and umbrellas for when the weather doesn't quite go our way!

Every single wedding is different, that's the beauty of the space being a blank canvas! As such, there's no one wedding that we would say is our favourite - just specific elements from different ones that were amazing - like the singing waiters, the wow factor florals or an emotional aisle walk with your bestie.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Please do not sweat the small stuff - that is what we are here for! We are 100% behind you and appreciate every detail big or small is important to you. To quote one of our couples, "We are both utter control freaks but felt confident our day was in safe hands and were able to relax and enjoy our special day." V&J
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
There are so many to choose from, though we do love how unique you can be with your wedding favours. From Tunnocks Teacakes to hand picked pebbles from the beach where you got engaged! Those little details can be so personal, emotional, and something wonderful to share with your favourite people.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Our secret garden is gorgeous all year round, an absolute must see for all photographers to get that wow factor shot of you both.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
No celebrities that we can name but we've had a couple of furry VIPs who have stolen the show - particularly Gus the Dachshund!
What’s your favourite canapé?
As a joint decision, we're going to say any food in miniature form is a hit around here - we just can't get enough of them!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Cake! Though we all have a different flavour we love!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
The stairs make the most beautiful entrance into the ceremony. Just wow!
What part of your business are you most proud of?
That moment when everybody's spilled out of the ceremony and they're standing around in the Courtyard chatting, drinking and having their photographs taken - it's that happy, content, relaxed atmosphere, those smiling faces and the sense of celebration in the air.
