Incredibly flexible during the difficult COVID times, professional yet personal, and everything handled with understated class. The venue itself is stunning and practical regardless of the weather and all our guests thought the same. As soon as we saw Coombe Trenchard, we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. It's absolutely beautiful. The house is stunning and the grounds are breathtaking. It's Sarah and Philip's home and with that comes a warmth, care and intimacy which makes it more than just a wedding venue. Sarah's support from day 1 was invaluable. Sarah was always just an email or WhatsApp away, she helped us navigate the covid guidelines and ultimately ensured that we had a truly magical day. We were also lucky enough to use the new Peacock bar which is amazing. Sarah supplied wonderful bespoke cocktails which were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. We honestly can't thank Sarah enough, Coombe Trenchard will forever have a place in our hearts and I'm grateful we got to start our journey as husband and wife at such a special place.

The most beautiful picturesque and perfect place for a wedding. From beginning to end nothing was too much trouble. Every detail was thought of and every convenience made available even a steamer for a creased bridesmaids dress. It could not have been better and the day passed too quickly.

We got married at Coombe Trenchard in October 2019 and it was everything we ever dreamed of. The house and grounds are stunning and exactly what we wanted. Sarah was amazing from start to finish, she had loads of great advice and couldn’t have been more helpful. She also has a great list of suppliers choose from. We will definitely make sure to go back and visit on one of the open days.

Almost a year ago Jon and I were on the hunt for our wedding venue. Coombe Trenchard was the first and only venue we looked at. Our decision was instantly made having driven down the drive and upon meeting Sarah our decision was cemented. A month ago we celebrated our big day, we had the most incredible time. We wanted a country house in Devon not too far away from where we live. Coombe Trenchard ticked all the boxes. It was the most unique and beautiful private venue which flows perfectly for each part of the day. The house, bridal suite, ceremony hall, the gardens, Italian terrace and coach house for the evening boogying, every element was a surprise for the guests! Sarah was incredible and suggested lots of highly recommend suppliers. I work in the organic food industry so it was key to me that we could use our own produce from the farm. Sarah suggested David from Garnish for the food and Sally from Thirst Choice for the bar, they were both truly exceptional and very flexible. Joanna Game from Viridis brought the marquee to life with her stunning arrangements of garden flowers and the marquee from Marldon Marquees to keep our heads dry. All the other suppliers we found ourselves but we highly recommend arranging appointments with Sarah’s carefully curated list. All of Sarah’s planning and experiences made the day run seamlessly. Sarah’s breakfasts and vintage tea party’s are exquisite, a lovely way treat the setup party. Sarah and Philip have the most outstanding venue. Family and friends were made so welcome throughout the day. It felt like home! Everyone has said it was the best wedding they had ever been to and they want to emulate it when they get married. We couldn’t recommend Sarah and Philip’s Coombe Trenchard enough. Thank you for making our special day one that we will NEVER forget. Coombe Trenchard house and gardens were the most exquisite setting for our wedding day. Sarah and Philip so graciously and generously opened their home to us, not only for our special day itself, but on many instances throughout the wedding planning stages. It is a bespoke service like no other - nothing was too much trouble, and every single extra detail --whether it be Sarah's seasonal cutting garden flowers, homemade treats, or the use of pretty antique china and furniture-- set the scene perfectly, and helped create the intimate and cosy atmosphere my husband and I wanted to extend to all our guests that day. I must also add that Coombe Trenchard is dog-friendly, which was hugely important to us, and our beloved Border Collie was made to feel equally at home there. We chose to have an Edwardian-style wedding with plenty of botanical and vintage details, and every single space in Coombe Trenchard was an Arts & Crafts dream come true! From the minstrels' gallery, wood panelling and stunning fireplace in the Grand Hall, or the light and soft pastels of the Morning Room, to the romantic wisteria-covered Clock Tower, rustic Coach House, and sprawling formal gardens - it all has to be seen to be believed! And I can assure you, once you have seen Coombe Trenchard, you'll not consider any other venue - this stunning home will steal your heart, and Sarah & her fabulous team will guarantee you your Best Day Ever! Thank you again, Sarah & Philip (and also to Emily and Graham) for your kindness and dedication, and for being so passionate about everything that you do.
