Bodnant Welsh Food is an exclusive, family-run wedding venue nestled in the heart of the Conwy Valley, North Wales. You'll find us standing proudly on the banks of the River Conwy. Our history dates back to the 18th century, so our venue is filled with rustic charm. We are surrounded by stunning scenery and views of the estuary, making us the perfect place to host your special day.
Throughout the day, you'll have exclusive use of The Hayloft and bar, The Pochin Room and multiple terraces.
The Pochin Room bosts two circular windows that frame the breathtaking views of The Conwy Valley and, with a license for cival cermonies and neautral decor, makes it the perfect setting for you to exchange your vows.
You'll enjoy a drinks reception in The Hayloft bar and terrace, before sitting down in The Hayloft to enjoy your bespoke wedding breakfast prepared by our award winning caterers. The Hayloft is a romantic space with rustic high beams and beautiful stonework.
Dance the night away, or relax by the open fire in the bar, before retiring to our luxury Farmhouse accommodation that can be included in your package.
What you can expect:
Exclusive use venue for your entire celebration. The Pochin Room can accommodate upto 100 guests for your ceremony and The Hayloft can seat upto 120 guests for your wedding breakfast.
As a family run business, we offer a more personal approach with a service that pays attention to every detail.

- SSteph & Dan09/01/2025The best Wedding DayThe best Wedding DayWell, we got married here in October 2024. From living in the area we knew this place existed but in all honesty we'd never popped over to visit. We saw this venue online and I instantly fell in love with the images of previous Wedding Photographers and reviews. We attended a show around and a meeting with Olivia and as soon as I entered the ceremony room I had a feeling. A really strong positive feeling and I could have cried there and then! (sounds silly but you'll know when you know!). We left and attended a viewing at a few other venues in the area, but I didn't have that feeling like I had done at Bodnant. We both decided, Bodnant Welsh Food was the place! So, we popped over for dinner.. lets try out the food! and Wow, blown away! What delicious food, such a wonderful variety of food and staff were amazing. 4 weeks after our initial meeting we were putting the deposit down! Every moment leading up to the big day was brilliant. Any question we had we could pop in or send an email and Olivia would get back to us within a few days! We popped over for food quite a few times since.. celebrating Valentines Day there, my 30th Birthday, and some last minute date-nights. Each time we've loved it! Their farm shop as well is fantastic! Well.. the big day arrived! Me (Bride), my mother, daughter, mother in law and sister in law spent the night there before the wedding. We went to the restaurant for an evening meal and thoroughly loved it! The accommodation was so comfortable and filled with everything you'd need. The morning of the wedding!! Eek, nerves are in. Now Olivia had an emergency so unfortunately wasn't available to overlook the day but put us in the trust of her colleague, Ebony. Wow, Ebony went above and beyond! She was fantastic! She checked on me early in the morning and kept checking in throughout the morning until I was ready to go down the aisle. She helped with all the plan and prep of setting up the the centre pieces, met our guests etc. She even ran up to our room on the top floor just to get my trainers as my feet were killing me by the time it was the Wedding Breakfast! The atmosphere, the look, how friendly all the staff on the day were was fantastic. Even our suppliers commented on how welcomed they felt there and kind everyone was. All of our guests commented on how fantastic the food was as well, we honestly LOVED everything about our day. We all want to live it all again! It's so true, the day goes by in a flash but the memories we will treasure so dearly! The morning after, we were ready to check out and head off on our Honeymoon. The staff had collected all of our decorations and placed them so carefully on the side ready for us to just pick up and take - little things that just make everything amazing! We honestly want to thank every single member of staff who either was there on the day, or who helped us leading up to the big day. Kerry was so nice and they did a fantastic job of making the place beautiful! We wanted our guests to go away saying that was such a lovely wedding and that is exactly what we achieved, our guests are still talking about it haha! even after everyone left the staff made sure we were looked after - we had a drink on the house. And breakfast in bed lol I would recommend The Hayloft to anyone getting married, they really do look after you!We had our wedding reception here (19th August 2017). What part of your business are you most proud of?
Our ethos of using locally sourced produce. All of our meat is sourced from The Conwy Valley and we use and support many local suppliers. We even offer Welsh wine packages from a local vineyard!
