What about your business are you most proud of?
That moment when the dancing starts - the look of sheer joy on the guests faces! That's when we know we've pulled it off - the best night of their lives.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Set a budget you are comfortable with and work to it. There's no sense in starting your married life in debt you can't afford.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
When we helped the MoG secretly book Dhol Drummers to welcome the guests off the boat at Trinity Buoy Wharf. The groom was of Indian heritage and this was a lovely nod to that.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We start with a FREE two hour consultation. We talk through the wedding in great detail - catering, bar, styling, timings, entertainment etc and most importantly budget. Once we have the information we produce a budget planner and then source the right suppliers for the wedding, starting with caterers. Once menus are approved we ask for a small fee to confirm our services. Then we are on board to bring in as many suppliers as needed (typically bar, hire, staffing, light & sound - sometimes photographers, videographers and florists too). We are on hand throughout the process managing suppliers, creating the schedule, designing the event and coordinating every aspect. On the day we are the first to arrive and the last to leave looking after every aspect.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
We've seen it all - drag artists, acrobats, secret mariachi bands...
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
Clear scheduling - seems boring but working through a step by step by step plan for your event manager to manage on the day is everything. Then you can relax and have fun knowing every aspect is in hand
What do you love most about your job?
Set a budget you are comfortable with and work to it. There's no sense in starting your married life in debt you can't afford.
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
That moment when all the guests are singing and dancing at the height of the dancing. I love getting a wink from the FoB (or FoG) that tells me I made the couple's dreams come true. Talk about job satisfaction!
