What is your most memorable wedding?
A 3 week turn around for a terminally ill groom (I did it, it was gorgeous but heartbreaking - esp when he died so soon after)
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Luxury, stress-free, approachable, uncompromising, as-unique-as-you
What about your business are you most proud of?
My ability to remain calm under pressure. I've sorted MANY wedding near-disasters because of this skill, so ensuring the day runs smoothly for all. I then have a restorative cup of tea for the nerves ;)
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Keep organised!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Father of the groom had died a few years before. Step-dad wore father's favourite pair of shoes to walk her down the aisle.
Mother of (a different) bride had died in her childhood. Bride had a picture of her mum on a chain on her bouquet. At the moment she started walking down the aisle, she kissed mum's pic & told her she loved her.
I have so many more gorgeous experiences I can share too but these always make me cry just remembering them.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We start with a call - be that Zoom, or phone. Or we can meet face-to face if you're in London, Milton Keynes or Bedford. We chat, purely chill, about you. Your relationship, your story, your likes & dislikes, and how you want your perfect day to look (if you've got this far in the process - don't worry if not!)
Then we look at how I can take you from the whisper of an idea, through to a perfectly-personal wedding. I send over a detailed quote, along with checklists & info, & then you book me! (25%, via card or BACS, via safe payment gateway of Stripe)
Once you've booked me, I'm your little pocket rocket. You can contact me at any point, but immediately afterwards it's me doing the legwork. the trawling & calling. The asking & chasing. I info gather, passing each supplier to you for your information & attention. I remove the stress, leaving you with final decisions to make but NOT the in between frustration.
This repeats through the whole time of your engagement, and then the day of the wedding, I'm right there with you. I coordinate, direct, oversee, accept deliveries, keep the catering staff updated on the days proceedings, answer guest's questions, announce you as you enter the room for the first time as married couple...EVERYTHING you need for your day to be as perfect as you are.
There's obviously a lot more to the processes, this is just a very brief overview of the full planning service! Happy to answer any questions that you have :)
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
For groom's horse to be waiting at the end of the aisle with his husband to be as a surprise.
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
Planning like a demon! Plan B up my sleeve (along with a plan C), and my HUGE Filofax of suppliers to hand should I need to fill an unexpected gap through a no-show.
What do you love most about your job?
Don't stress the small stuff. No one else will notice, & it'll just upset you & tarnish your memory of your gorgeous day.
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
When you start walking down the aisle - I ALWAYS cry!!
I also love that first look you get of your venue all set up, and the fact you see that dream that started on a moldboard has come to reality.
