FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

My most memorable wedding would have to be a client from 2017, They had the most beautiful location on a golf course and it made for some fantastic photos! They also had lots of children running around which is great (I have three...soon to be four of my own and I run family photo sessions as well!) so it just meant lots to capture and it made the day so much fun!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Candid. Natural. Real. Genuine. Awesome.

What about your business are you most proud of?

I am most proud of how happy my clients are with their images. It sounds cheesy but it makes me so happy to hear of so many clients that are happy with their final sets. From my family sessions to entire wedding days, clients are always telling me how happy they are with my photos!

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Meet the photographer!!!! The photographer is one of the few people outside of your friends and family that will be with you the entire day! If you don't click with them it can make for awkward photos, nobody wants that!

Meet them over coffee, see if you like them before inviting them on your day...Think how long it took you to pick which family would come...why would you invite a photographer you don't like if you weren't even sure if you wanted Auntie Margret to come!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Picture this. A little two year old girl in a beautiful little dress, walking down the aisle towards her daddy with a little sign saying "Daddy, here comes Mummy"...melts your heart doesn't it!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Initial Enquiry -> Pre-Wedding meet to discuss dates, times and places! -> Meeting clients wedding planner and scouting out nearby locations at venue -> Emailing to share locations etc and to check if anything has altered -> Potentially one final meet (Not always necessary though!) -> Wedding day!! -> Photos can be delivered up to 4 weeks after wedding (I had 5 full weddings over 10 days in 2017 and still managed to deliver all the galleries on time! That's close to 10,000 images!)

What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?

I'm all for posed photos if the couple wants it, but, I aim for the natural shots...A genuine smile towards their new forever best friend is a much better photo than any posed shot.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

To stage a breakdown with the car and the Bride and Groom getting in the engine bay to fix the car!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

I take lots of umbrellas...But mostly, try to have fun with it...I know you spent months picking out the perfect dress, but you'll only wear it once...enjoy it, go and splash in the puddles and get shots that you will remember forever.

Describe how you got into photography.

I first came to photography over 15 years ago; As a Child, photography had always been a keen interest - mainly with how cameras worked! I then took as many opportunities as possible through out school to push myself towards a career in photography. When College came around I enrolled into a Media Studies course to pursue my career futher! Finishing with a relatively high grade I felt accomplished and continued my studies at the University of Portsmouth.

At University, I studied Media Studies and Entertainment Technology, a course that largely encompassed photography and videography. A lot of the assignments were based around creating Documentaries and even maintained a year long photography course. So it is safe to say that I have taken on board a lot of knowledge regarding the technical and creative aspects that surround photography.

Photography had always been "just" a hobby. I only took it on full time as a career when several friends and family had requested that I take photos for them in a professional capacity. Once I had completed several personal photoshoots (and with backing from my family) I decided that I was in a position to take on my dream career. I have never looked back.
