What about your business are you most proud of?
I'm proud that I managed to balance being a full time chef working 60+ hours a week whilst working on my photography business and growing my client base.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Plan early. Meet your photographer early, do your catering tasting early, see the venue early. It will give you as much time to make changes if you need to.
Also if you plan to get married in the summer, make sure there's plenty of water available at all times!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Some might view it as cliché. But I'm always a firm fan of polaroid's at weddings. I think they offer such a unique snapshot into the day.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Coffee meet to begin, I know all the best spots, so the first meeting is always a great experience! I like to go back to the beginning of their relationship, listen to the stories, the good vibes and the jokes. I'll talk about the family and the guests, anybody I think I should know. Its about me getting as much information from the couple as we sip our cappuccinos.
I offer as many pre wedding meetups as the couple desire. I also bring a point and shoot camera with me, to let them get comfortable with me and my kit.
On the day, I'm their best friend and their biggest cheerleader. Need me to pop out and get coffee? I'm there. Carry the brides flowers from the car to the church? I've got you!
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
The intimate kiss that they think nobody noticed.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Embrace it, Its only water. Grab a towel, dry off, get a drink and laugh about it! (It makes for incredibly dramatic photos too)
Describe how you got into photography.
20 years old, studying music in university, bought a 2nd hand camera to shoot street photography on my days off. Fell in love.
