What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
It was probably during one of my first wedding. The bride was entering in the church with her father holding her arm. A love song was resonating beautifully while she was walking through the path. This moment was so intense, everybody was in tears, I was too.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I like my couples to feel at ease with me because I want them to feel comfortable when I will be around chasing everybody with my camera. After the first email, I always suggest a meeting just to take the time to talk with each other. I like to know couples stories, what they like, how they imagine their day and I speak about me too. Until the very next day before the wedding, we keep texting and emailing. And during the wedding day it's just a lot of fun.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I don't think there is a number one photo to take. Actually there are so many great pictures to do. Let's do them all !
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
The most original I have seen is not about the picture I took but about the bride herself. It was a great wedding in France and the bride was wearing sneakers with her wedding dress.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Obviously don't forget your umbrella. But if it rains, let's make the best out of it. Wedding photography is also about telling a story and if the rains comes that will be a part of the story we should take in picture.
Describe how you got into photography.
I grew up seeing my mom taking pictures on every occasion. She was always carrying an old film camera in her bag. I remember everytime we developed a film we were so excited to discover the pictures. Some were blury and failed but most of them were great. Now, 30 years later, we still have those photograph stored in a cabinet and those pictures are a part of our history. I understand how much it is important to catch memories and that's why I got into photography.
